I've got similar coloring to you, and I know exactly what you mean.
Try champagne, it's got a slight gold undertone, and usually works well with blondes. You could also try a dress that's two toned so that the shade of white doesn't overwhelm you. If you like, you can even get a non-traditional color dress. There is no rule that says you have to wear some shade of white on your wedding day.

Ivory, cream, and off-white are alternative names for the exact same color. The same way that apple, cranberry, burgundy, maroon, and wine are all the same color but are given different names.
If ivory doesn't look good on you, find a color that does. Everyone has a unique skin tone (you are either warm toned or cool toned and you can't be both) which determines what colors look best on you and which ones wash you out and make you look pasty. Two people can have the same hair color, shade of skin color, eye color, etc and otherwise look identical as far as those features go. But one may be warm toned and can wear ivory, etc whereas the other person is likely cool toned and couldn't wear ivory at all. The best thing to do is get your colors done (any local dept store or makeup counter can tell you what your coloring is and what colors look best on you, both for makeup and clothing) and then take a trustworthy non-biased friend with you to try on dresses and see what works best for your coloring.

Depending on your age and size , I have seen on tv, brides wearing light pink or dove grey for wedding dresses. Not necessarily the traditonal princess type of wedding gown, but it might be an alternative to think about, if neither ivory, off white, eggshell are to your liking.
If you are a very pale blonde having a stark white dress might not be the best, especially if you're not considering having a tan or at least being slightly bronzed.

just as there are many different shades of other colours- there are also variations to white. try some outfits on that are white to see how they look on you & how you feel in the gown. If you really want to wear white - you just might happen to find the right shade.
alternatively if you can find a GOOD dressmaker then look at fabrics & experiment with different combinations of linings & main fabric. they should hopefully be prepared to accompany you & help you hold the fabric up against you.
if you have an idea of the style you want wear a top that has a similar neckline so that the fabric can be draped accordingly.
depending on your style the fabric may not be close to your face. you might like to consider a small pattern in a colour in the bodice of your gown.
GOOD LUCK

Hey I am one of those really white people. I had an ivory gown, and it was fine. If you don't want to put fake tan on then you just have to live with the fact of your skin color.
If you are so uncomfortable with wearing a white shade of gown try a soft pink or blue. They make a lot of gowns in different shades now so the sky is the limit!

I have seen many pale blonde brides wearing white and they looked beautiful- with the right makeup.
Wear a white blouse to get your makeup done- you'll see :)
If you really still don't like yourself in white, I have seen brides in gold (stunning) pale pinks (makes everyone look good) and pale blue but the blue is such a cool color it doesn't work for everyone.

yes, my friend did but she was not naturally crazy-pale either. she was radiant.
if you're like transparent white (like me but i have brown hair) why don't you look at an EXTREMELY light hue of pink or peach, i mean so it's ALMOST white--still all the symbolism & such--but just a hint.
truthfully, i think the cut of the dress will make the look. if you're pale and blonde and have a really willowy looking dress, you'll be gorgeous and everyone will say WOW.
but you're right, don't tan. it's gross. if i was purple, it'd be dumb to want to be a darker shade of purple, i'd just be happy with my color, so why do we peach-colored people try so hard to change to a darker shade of peach? d-u-m-b. that was barely still on the subject, sorry.....best wishes!!!

My daughter has very pale skin and she wore a champagne colored dress. It was very lovely.
I think the right dress however in white will look good on you. I would offset the white with pearls and crystals in your veil, or tiara, and if you are very thin, don't wear a huge dress that you drown in. White satin is a good choice for material for very white skin and blond hair.

well your skin tones are why you may or may not look good in certain colors, for instance I have olive skin so I look better in autumn mesa colors, our skin tones are made up of the basic colors, if your skin is pale, you have less pigment in your skin and if you want to wear white or cream colors, and you are pale skin you will have to offset it with a pastel color to balance out the washed out look, so fo rinstance if you wear ivory you would set it off with lilac or a pale pink, a hint of another color to blend, it depends also on your eye color as well if they are green wear a plum eyeshadow, offset your whites with a pastel color if it is a wedding dress try a ivory and lilac together meaning a ivory dress with some kind of small ambrodery or some small imagination for yourself, and good luck to you, mystical
