I mean come on, from Christianity to Catholicism, to Scientology, everywhere, people will try and force their views on me, but can never back up anything with valuable information, not even anything substantial. I am not asking for substantiated evidence or rebuttal, but I really want to know, how long will it take to get a point that everyone will believe something different?

Well...since you asked... j/k.

When you come in this forum...it's going to happen. Think about it for a minute...you are in the Religion & Spirituality section. What did you expect?

Personally, I wait until asked. We (Christians) aren't told by the Holy Bible to brow beat anyone into believing. It doesn't work that way. Either you believe or you don't. It's all about faith and free will.

I can't speak for the others.

Hope it helps!

No Christian will ever "convert" an atheist without first understanding the reasons why the atheist does not believe.

No Atheist will ever "convert" a Christian without first understanding the reasons why faith is so important to him/her.

So many at this site try to force others, through ignorance and disrespect, to believe the way they do. The end result is that those who have a low view of atheists/Christians feel even more justified in feeling the way they do.

We should all follow the Native American saying of not judging others until you've walked a 1000 miles in their shoes. Only then might we have the wisdom and gentleness to lead others to the truth we have discovered.

peace

No one has that right. The First Amendment forbids a state religion, but many fanatics deny that. Part of the routine is that tyrants who try to force their beliefs have no evidence to support those beliefs, so their minds are not the best. One cannot reason with a fanatic. Reason is incomprehensible to him. Feel is the right word here. They feel and believe they have a right to be tyrants, but they don't think, for that is more rational then feeling and belief. Some religions have the missionary stuff in their sacred books. How sad for all of us!

the difficulty right it rather isn't any count if or not her use of religious-themed literature constitutes an unconstitutional privileging of one faith over yet another (or over non-faith.) It appears like, given her determination of fabric, the respond isn't any. Courts have held that using religious-themed literature, or maybe the Bible itself, isn't an unconstitutional privilege if the fabric is chosen and taught on the muse of its literary benefit. an identical is going for religious-themed musical paintings in choir and band classes. even nonetheless, what sounds like it does circulate the line is her exposition on the fabric, previous what's had to evaluate its literary benefit and/or cultural magnitude. If she's occurring for 5-10 minutes approximately faith itself, not concerning to the literary or cultural cost of the piece, then she has long previous previous the scope of what's criminal and commenced advertising a faith. Theoretically, you have gotten a foundation for a lawsuit. yet any decide will prefer to appreciate you have exhausted all your administrative treatments first. (which potential beginning with your critical and ultimately going to the college board -- failing to accomplish that can and gets your case tossed out of courtroom for not being "ripe for adjudication.") even though reaction you pick for to make, do not make it on my own. See in the journey that your mothers and fathers sense an identical way you do. Or see if a set of fellow pupils sense in addition. you're venturing into territory that entire communities of legal experts make finished-time livings thinking, so even though you assert, understand that there is in all likelihood a nicely-researched regulation evaluation article already sitting on a shelf someplace to refute each and every recognize it. in spite of this, there is in all likelihood yet another regulation evaluation article someplace else to refute each and every recognize their refutation. yet whilst she's doing extra preaching than coaching (and be constructive that's what's going on earlier you assert something) then it rather is a difficulty, and you're good to handle it. solid success.

They are not arguing that there are no differences in the world . All they are saying is choose me. I am right. Would you prefer that they say I am wrong? It isn't going to happen. You don't have to agree with others as you point out, but they don't have to give up trying to change your mind. After all, in a way that is what you are trying to do by asking this question.

When people are passionate about something, they want to sell their beliefs to others. It's not just with religion. It can be with politics, sports, or the kind of car you drive. UnfortunatIey, some people are always going to be intolerant of other's views.

They won't get it. They all think they're right and anyone who isn't like them is wrong. So I guess their religions don't teach tolerance. I personally do not have a religion I belong to. I don't however think that everyone else is wrong. I see a lot of valid points to every religion but I am not one to say what's true. When people try to shove down your throat, just ignore them. It's a free country and just like they have the right to say what they want, you also have the right to walk away.

HI CHRIS, I am a christian.I will never share my views with you , till you ask.Well now you asked.
Christians are taught to care about others. We are to think of others ,put others first, be kind ,loving, helpful and so on.
Its very hard to be nice to people who hate you or what you believe in.You are free to think what you will ,but we care and want to share with others what we have been given.JESUS CHRIST.
When you love someone that is all you can talk about. Please be kind to us,know that we just want you to love the way we have been shown love.
we are not always right, but Jesus love us ,and he forgives us.
Please understand that as we see it, JESUS CHRIST is the one and only way to GOD.So we want to share him with you.
When you walk away you can believe what you want.
But our prayer is for you to know the truth.
love in Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour

it is unfortunate the way some people try to convince others -- it usually ends up alienating them. but these people do have valuable insights, so i usually prefer to hear them out. but that's just my opinion.
