First off, let me ask you. How easy is it to locate someone in New York city?

Next, how easy is it to locate someone who could be anywhere in Afghanistan? We may have the best and most fancy gadgets, but ultimately, we still need the good old Mk-1 Eyeballs to ID and locate someone.

Gadgets and satellites are useless without the human assets in place to apprehend those individuals.

"Al Qaeda operatives had complete control of four airliners over the continental United States, yet they failed to hit the White House on 9/11. Why?"

When you were a kid, were you the kind of child that expected your parents to be able to grow wings and fly? Are you incapable of recognizing limitations and how reality functions? I thought so.

NATO forces operate with something called "restraint". If they so chose and were unconstrained by moral concerns, they'd have blanketed every square inch of the Tora Bora cave complex with weapons like fuel-air explosives, chemical weapons, and tactical nukes. Then you'd be whining about how much effort it took to kill good old OBL.

If you somehow think NATO forces are inept, then YOU go up those mountains and YOU go talk him down. As it stands, fear of NATO forces has OBL completely isolated and afraid to step down. Every major AQ leader from the time of 9/11 is either dead or captured. An estimated half of those who started on the trail in 9/11 with OBL are either fatalities or incarcerated.

You want to complain, let the world know when you expect OBL and his associates to restore the grand old Caliphate. Sometime soon, right? Sooner than America walking away from Afghanistan and Iraq?

I didn't think so.

Because of political considerations with Pakistan. Osama is most likely in a part of Pakistan the Pakistani government does not control. However, Pakistan is an ally of the US, so "invading" Pakistan is out of the question.

They know where he is. but They don't want to capture Osama now. it's politics. if they capture him now then everybody would say that the war on terror is over and they wouldn't find any reason to stay in Iraq to get more OIL. it's a matter of the right time to annouce the capture or the killing of Osama, that's all. Anyway Osama is not that important anymore he is just a symbole. killing him or capturing him won't make any progress in the war on terror. but letting him free under their eyes, makes alot of benefits for them because of the oil.

Its because they dont want to catch him. Gee, the war might have to end? Or maybe the US wouldn't be able to use a poor country in upgrading and modernizing our military. Lets not forget that we'd have no reason to be there to control the Middle East, aka oil. But our brave soldiers are caught in the middle, trying to do the best they can with what they've got. Dont be confused, there is no allied forces. Its US's war. We are paying for the brunt of this war in dollars and lives. I guarantee you that the US Government knows exactly where he is and when it suits them the most, they will bring him in. Like maybe just before the next Presidential Election? I know, I sound really jaded but do you blame me with all that has happened to our country since Bush came to office?

Osama is hiding in a cave in a mountainous area, possibly in a neutral country in an area inhabited by fierce tribesmen who will attack any outsiders and who are not our enemy.

Technology is great but it is not always effective in primitive surroundings. I don't know where Osama is. Do you?

It's not about Osama Bin Laden, a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedom". It's REALLY about THIS!...

They don't want him caught.

A single Navy Seal team and some decent intelligence could have ended the Iraq War and the "war" on terror before either of them even started.

The "war" on terror is bush's plan for setting himself up as a dictator in the U.S., and eventually world domination.

He's already tried to pass legislation that would allow him to "delay" an election while there was a "threat" of terror going on. Which, according to him, there has been a constant threat every day since 9/11.

It takes time. Do you think it's like the cartoon where you show a picture of Bin Laden to a missile and it just goes out and gets him? He's gone deep underground in extremely inaccessible areas. It will take time. He knows we're after him and he's keeping low.
