Given the limited information, my suggestion would be to have someone (a friend or acquaintance), download either AVG or AVAST for an anti-virus program and burn that installation file onto a CD or DVD. Once you have that CD or DVD, boot your computer into Safe Mode, put that disc in your drive and install the program from that disc. Next step....go to your system restore utility window and change your setting to turn off system restore. (Viruses frequently infect restore points, so restoring often just re-infects the pc).
Now, while still in Safe Mode, run a complete anti-virus scan on your system. Hopefully this check will locate and eliminate the virus(es) that you might have. If all works out well, reboot in regular mode, and see if your computer now works correctly. If so, go back and turn on System Restore again. That will set a new restore point that's not infected.
Good luck.

Definitely more info needed. What's the antivirus name? Are you facing trouble while downloading or while installation? If its during installation then what's the error you are getting? Did you have any previous version of antivirus installed on your computer. Definitely i can help you because i've worked in HP as well as Symantec as Technical Support Executive. But i need more information.

The biggest question is what kind of anti-virus you are downloading. They might be able to answer your question. Also, how many different restore points do you have, I find that using an older one as long as you havne't installed much since, ussually fixes the problem. Oh, the problems I used to have when I didn't use Mac.

So don't you have any anti-virus software on your PC?

I suggest you run whatever you have & then visit an on-line virus scan. Most of the big companies do them from their sites.

After you've done that run your anti-spyware etc stuff.

If you need any software I suggest you get:-
AVG Free
Ad-Aware
Spybot Search & Destroy
Simple File Shredder

You can get all this stuff via the site below

More info needed. When you try to download, what happens? Nothing? Download fails part way through? Error message? Have you tried downloading elsewhere?
