I have worked for many national chains such as Comfort Inn, Motel 6, Hampton, etc. and I can verify that they make sure at the hotel you work for and the one you are going to that you don' t abuse your discount privileges usually. The hotel I work for now you can only stay at one hotel consecutively for 7 days. Also, weekly rates at lower end motels are not worth it and most higher end hotel don't offer a weekly rate because it give them no profit possibilities. Look for a hotel that specialized in extended stay ONLY if you are going to take that route. Good luck to you!

You are having financial problems and you want to stay in a hotel for a month? Even if you could get an employee discount - which you cannot do - you would be paying around $85 per night even at the cheapest place. That comes out to $2750 before taxes are added. If by some chance, you could find a fleabag place for $50 per night, that is $1500 before taxes.

Your request is very vague. If you lost your lease or were evicted, you can probably get help from a shelter.

No hotel chain is going to allow their employee to give a "family discount" to people who are not family. The employee would be terminated for such a thing.

Most discounts carry rules that don't allow one to "just give out". So you might be out of luck on this unless you personally are family to one and even then many aren't passed out. For this reason....if it could be passed out then well anyone could get discounts and you think places like this really want that? No of course not that is why they put the fine print restrictions.

I'm a travel agent and I can tell you I can't give my discount or perks out at all, not unless the person is traveling with me then I can.

Good Luck, but honestly I don't think this will work. I think you are going to have to go ahead and pay for it on your own without a discount. I guess the best advice is just try to find the best priced one. If one maybe has a "monthy special" of some sort?

I don't work at hotel/motel, but I wanted to offer some advice. Check out Motel 6 and Super 8 for weekly rates. The weekly rates are much cheaper, and some even offer a free daily breakfast which will help also. Sometimes LaQuinta's have specials too. Good luck to you and your family.
