How to ask someone to return something borrowed?

About a year ago my sister let my aunt borrow a mini-fridge because she needed it for some of her medications. But a few months ago she no longer needed to take the meds, but kept the fridge and we didn't say anything right away, I guess hoping she would return it on her own without us asking for it.

Now one of our cousins just started college and needs a mini-fridge for her dorm. Her parents would rather buy it so she could keep it for as long as she needs it (and I guess to avoid problems like the one we're having now!) So we finally asked for the fridge back and my aunt got mad that we were asking her to return it, even though she knew it was definitely borrowed. She said she'll buy it from us since it's already at her house. BUT the point of asking for it back is to save my cousin some money!

How could we ask for it back so she won't be mad?

easily, in case you do not choose this stuff on your pastime, take it abode. If it really is a report cupboard at paintings with a lock, placed it in there. If someone asks you to borrow something at paintings & they do no longer understand the thanks to go back issues, tell them that you do not have what they choose. even no matter if it really is a lie & they understand it, they're going to probable get the hint that hi, you do not favor to lend it to them because you'll by no skill get it again. yet there is no longer something incorrect with borrowing to those who do go back products. yet in the experience that they ask each and each of the time, i'd probable get aggravated & tell them an identical element I informed the co-worker who would not go back element. " i don't have it". they favor to usher of their own components and provide help to do your pastime.

try asking for it back nicely and explain the purpose for wanting it returned. If she still says no, then there might be no hope of resolving the problem peacfully. tell her what she is doing is wrong. keeping something that doesnt belong to her is stealling. or you could just take it anyway no matter what she says.

just tell her what u need it for and that u r tryin to save u and her money if she isn't using it why should it be so hard for her to return it. Don't she gotta regular size fridge

well it is a little hard after a year ....perhaps your aunty too hasnt got money to by her self a fridge ....just forgot about it....see if you can ask to put money together from other members of the family.....bye good luck

Tell her the fridge isn't for sale and that you want it back, if she wants to purchase one she can go to Best Buy, Costco, Wal*Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and purchase one.
