Call planned parenthood and ask them. You don't have to be a certain age to get an abortion just pregnant but, as for parental notification, I'm not sure. Depending on your situation you can get a judge to sign that you don't need it, forge it or get one of your friends parents (maybe your boyfriends mom) to pretend to be your mother and sign for you. The last name thing won't matter she can just say she remarried. Good luck.

Ps, just because other people can't breed doesn't mean you need to. There are plenty of unwanted and uncared for children that those wanna-breeders don't care about or want.

THIS IS TO ALL WHO DID NOT ANSWER HER QUESTION, BUT JUDGE HER WITH THEIR HATRED:

it is each person's individual choice and I don't think others have the right to challenge another person in this decision. If someone is religious, and think it's murder, then it's fine and dandy-go ahead and have an opinion, but don't except the entire world to roll over and do nothing but accommodate your views of "life".

We are each different and will live different lives, we make decisions everyday. I don't think you can really condemn a person without knowing them and you cannot generalize the entire population of women that have chosen to abort a child as "a s.lut who didn't use birth control"

If you don't believe in abortion then just don't have one, but REMEMBER THIS birth control is never 100% effective 100% of the time.

As for the people who suggest adoption, let me suggest this nice piece of literature that you can read and re-evaluate your claim. It was written by a 3rd Generation Adoptee and it will defiantly open those sleepy eyes of yours.

hey hon,
There all kinds of people out there that would like to have a baby that can't . . .
1. The couple with the sterile hubby
2. The lesbian couples
3. The gay couples
4. The woman who has endometriosis
5. The woman who just simply can't conceive
6. The woman who has cysts on her ovaries
7. The woman who is sterile
8. The woman who has repeated miscarriages
9. The woman who can't because of medicines she is on
10. The woman who has had cancer
11. The woman who can't because she waited too long
12. The woman that has been raped but too much damage was caused or she has an std because of it
13. Or the people who are like me that face a c-section if they choose to have another one
14. Or the people who just simply want to give orphans or abandoned children a home

Now I realize it is ur choice, but please stop to consider all of those people out there that would give that baby a good home!

But if you go to the website for planned parenthood, you should be able to find information there.

How old are you anyways? And why didn't you use protection or take the time to learn how to use it properly?

Not trying to judge, and I hope this helps!

I thought it was 16, but more than likely 18. Its so easy to obtain a document stating you're 18. GOOD LUCK to you, and my thoughts are with you.

Go to the nearest Planned Parenthood. Look them up on the web-they are in your area. They will assist you with everything. If you have any questions, please contact me personally. This is a personal choice, don't let other fools on here persuade you otherwise. Contact me if you like. Best of luck.
(CA is a pretty liberal state)

actually, there is no policy in effect -- minors can get an abortion without parental consent

Minors in California and Illinois are considered emancipated if they are pregnant. Therefore, they do not need parental consent.but please think about all of your options first .If this is a personal question.

I think you have to be 18... if you have a friend who is going to do it, or you are thinking about it, please don't. I know it's hard to carrying a baby you don't want, but I'm sure that baby would one day be glad to be alive.

This question will probably stir a big debate, I just hope you consider what is best for everyone.
