It depends. Ask your doctor first; but I had to stop Wellbutrin because it makes me really edgy and mean...which I'm normally not. The Effexor works great.

Some people find that Wellbutrin rather than giving them energy, will make them tired. If that's what is happening since you've started taking it. Try taking the dose before bedtime with the Effexor.
I've taken them both, Wellbutrin makes me feel better but tired.
Effexor made me feel sleepy and very edgy,so my doctor took me off of it.

drop the effexor and just take the wellbuting XL by itself. I take it now and dropped the effexor its great. Early in the morning with wellbutrin XL is best.

I am on Welburtin also. I take mine in the morning. It nevercause me to be sleepy. But my boyfriend takes his at night. So I would switch to the evening. But should check with your dr. first. Good Luck
