the same reason the rich get richer and the poorer get poorer.
I think God thrives on making some people happy and others misserable.
That is why at times I question my faith and what I truely believe in. At times I wonder if there is really a GOD.
Because the God we are taught to love would not be so cruel.
Those who are born with fortune and good things, have it a life time. those who are born with nothing will never have nothing.
A person can try and try to become successful but if God does what he wants. He lets the rich get richer and the poorer get poorer.
I find this to be so confusing. So at many points in my life I question God and if he really exists
. There are wars in all these countries. These people in foreigne countries do not believe in God or worship him like americans do.
They worship something or someone else. So if there was truely a God, why would he be letting this war go on, and having american soldiers killed in a country that does not believe in God.
I wonder if the middle east were to attack the USA. would god protect us, or let these countires kill our own people.
The war is costing over 7 billion dollars a day. We have homeless people, hungry children and education is being cut in our schools. Why does God let all of this go on.
The God I was taught to believe is kind and caring, but yet the God I have come to know, is cold, bitter and helps the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer
. I am not rich nor am I am poor.
My question is, have I been taught to believe in someone that does not really exsist.
If there was truely a God, he would end these wars, end world hunger, and make this a safe place for all to live
. Or is God punishing these other countries with war because they do not believe in him. So has God sent americans to these countries to invade them because they do not believe in him.
Are these wars the price we pay for people not believing in God?
Many attend mass on Sundays and worship God. If there is only one God, then why so many different religions. Why is the bible interpreted so many different ways.
I came from an alcholic home, my father was an alcholic who molested me, my mother beat me daily and told me she did not want me. She tried to kill me. She told me I was ugly and stupid. I was verbally, physically, mentally, emotionally, and sexually abused. But yet I was taught to believe in God and trust him. If there was truely a God, would of he let these things happen, even though I prayed every night that these things would stop. They did not.
So here I am 37 years old. And questioning my faith.... I wish I knew if God was real......

What you're asking for is a theodicy. A theodicy is a 'vindication of God's goodness and justice in the face of the existence of evil.' There is no satisfying answer to your question because there is no theodicy that works, not even the popular "free will" one.
God is supposed to be all powerful and all knowing. This means he could have created a world with absolutely no evil, suffering, pain, or harm whatsoever. Because suffering obviously exists, we can come to one of the following conclusions:
1. God is evil/immoral/doesn't care
2. God doesn't exist
3. God does not have the power to stop evil (which means he's not god, which means god doesn't exist)
"Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to... If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked... If, as they say, God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?"

Because Satan challegened Gods right to rule. He also said that people serve God for selfish reason so God gave Satan the chance to test people so to speak to prove Satan wrong. If God interfered he would be helping Satan out taking part in his evil plan and not actually giving these people the right to show Satan he is wrong. Just know it hurts God watching this happen to us and he is waiting so impatiently for the day it will all be over. But it has to be at the right time, having shown Satan wrong

God helps in more ways than are obvious, he cant just go solveing all of our problems, ironically the problems that are rampant in the world are the easiest to fix so he leaves them for us.

They have not because they ask not , and when many pray they don't really expect God to answer.Gandhi once said "You have to be the change you want to see in the world" but to many lack the ability to change and won't allow God to help them. I pray God help us all.
