instead of using a special moisture treatment every few weeks use it as your everyday conditioner otherwise the ends of your hair will start to turn to jelly and basically just dissolve.
and avoid using hair dryers, straighteners or any other hot instruments for at least 2 days a week.

First of all stop dying your hair. Find a real thick conditioner (one that you could put in the palm of your hand and flip your hand over and it won't come out). A good conditioner is "Aussie 3 Minute Miracle". It's not expensive and works. Get yourself a warm wet towel and put the conditioner in your hair. Wrap the towel around your head and let sit for 30 minutes then rinse. Do this 2 times a day. You could also put a small amount into your hair before it dries. If your hair is fried it won't make it greasy. Anything you try is not going to get rid of your problem, only time will. To have your hair back to it's normal state of being, your going to have to let it grow out, but in the mean time don't put any chemicals into your hair.

go to Sally's beauty supply store and look for ApHogee products. There is a three step reconstructor and you can either buy the bottles of it (each sold seperatly of course) or the first time you do this you may want to buy the one use traial packects. The first one is a Moisturizing packet (blue writing on package), second is called Treatment Service (this stuff really stinks), third is called Imtensive Keratin Reconsructor. What you want to do first is buy a really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (Pantene makes a good one). Wash and condition your hair as normal towel dry put the moisturizing packect in first put a plastic cap on leave in for 20 minutes rinse out towel dry then put the Treatment service in DO NOT COMB THRU just work thru with fingers then put blow drier on low and blow dry hair until the stuff is dry and crunchy. Do not play with shake scrunch or anything to your hair while blow drying simply work the blow drier around your head (very important to follow directions on packet). Once hair is dry and crunchy you can wash out then lastly put the Intensive Keratin Reconstructor in put a plastic cap on for 20/30 minutes then rinse out. I have fried my hair more than anyone I know and I swear by this treatment. My cousin is a hair dresser and this is what she does for her clients and when I damaged my hair she told me how to do it because if you go to the sallon it is an exspensive treatment. This treatment should be done every six weeks and in between i use just the Moisturizing packect (weekly) after every washing. Do this and your hair will be in great shape in a short period of time. An added bonus of this treatment is that if your hair is breaking off (as mine was) from all the coloring this treatment will stop that too if you use it faihfully.

Stop dying it or dye it your natural color so you don't have to anymore. Then cut it so the tips are healthy and use shampoo and conditioner that is for dry and damaged hair.
