Should I take a hot shower, or a cold shower? Should I try to wear less clothing so that my temperature goes down? Or should I layer more to keep warm? Any of these and other tips that you have would be greatly appreciated! I"m desperate to get out of my stuffy nose!

Take vitamin C, if you have some handy... Drink plenty of clear liquids, water is best. Take some Advil to get you temperature down. Wait some time and then try a dayquil or NyQuil.I would recommend taking luke warm/cool showers to bring you temperature down. Once it is down a warm/ hot shower will clear you nose up and get all that yuckie stuff out. And wear light clothes, no blankets if you must cover up with a sheet.

As gross as this sounds blow your nose and if you cough that stuff up spit it out, you need to get it out of your system. Also, if you are able to eat stay away from anything dairy often it can make your cough worse. If things don't start to clear up in 5 to 7 days go see your doctor and get antibiotics. If your temperature goes above 101 and stays there for to long call an advice nurse or the ER.

This stuff must be going around cuz that's the exact way I was feeling on Sunday.. I'm a little better now still stuffy and coughing...

Good luck and hope you feel better...

yes you need anibiotics because you have an infection somewhere (ear, throat, stomach) and yes wear light clothing and frequently get a wet washcloth with cold water and run it down your body and forehead to keep the fever down. Go to the doctor
