I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4114 and I recently installed the game Majesty on it. I bought an updated version of the game (fully compatable with my computer and version of windows). I uninstalled the old version, as was prompted, however it still said it was installed. When I go to add/remove programs and remove it it, it says it has been removed but is still listed. When I try to install the game it lists the installation as an option (meaning it doesnt recognize another version of the game on my computer) however when I click install it wont install - it says INSTALLATION complete! I've updated all the components of my computer and tried everything I can find online to try and help... any one know how to solve this? I've already run regsupreme and all that jazz. Thank you!

Go to start->run and type in regedit and press enter.
Then look for HKEY_Local_Machine. Expand it usin the + next to it.
Then keep on expanding these keys in this order
-Software
-Microsoft
-Windows
-CurrentVersion
_uninstall
And look for the key under Uninstall which says you games name. Right click
and delete it. This will remove the game from add and remove program list. should solve your problem...

You need to manually search your registry (by typing REGEDIT in the RUN Box) and manually find & delete the entire entries for that game in that folder.
You also need to check the "RunOnce" registry folder to make sure there is nothing the game put there to reinstall files after they have been deleted.
After that do a desktop search by right clicking anywhere on your desktop where there is not an icon and pressing the F3 key, then change the option from "Desktop" to "C Drive" and enter ".inf" in the search box, then be careful but delete any .inf files found which relate to the game, DO NOT DELETE ANY INF FILES YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT, doing this may stop other programs from working, only delete those that relate to the game in question.
You will then be able to do a fresh install.

C:/Program files/and file Majesty - delete it.
Start, Run, Regeit, Edit, Find, Majesty, and delete keys that contain Majesty. (Note: messing w/the registry might cause some issues with the PC, but the other option is to buy a program to take it out. Assumes, you don't want to buy a $29 program because you are asking here.)

Some files from that game you installed are still in the system's regsitery. You cannot access the system's registery, even if you can, you might be unable to know which is the game's file.

In this case, only probable solution is to format your HD. Only that way the registery will be cleared. If you want another option. Go to the game vendor and bust his head.
