Man is not only the body, but he is a noble being with body, mind and soul. A proper education is the one which enables him to synchronically develop physically, mentally and spiritually. The missing of any one of these three aspects would create a deficient man. Respectful and prominent educators, how do you think?

I would agree with the three-way balance. However, these three need not be provided under the auspices of one educational heirarchy. Our public education system is failing with some regularity in both physican and mental education. Children grow more obese, have less skills, and higher expectations than in the past. Education needs to be more individualized and less dependent on the age of the student. As for spiritual education, this surely should not be so cookie-cutter as public mental and physical education, IMHO.

Good question. I've been involved in education, both as a teacher and student, but I'm not particularly respected or prominent. d:c)

AS an educator, or teacher, in layman's words, (IMHO respectful, but I don't know about prominent) I think you're right. A proper education has to cover all three areas. On the other hand, I don't agree that there is ONE proper education for everybody. There's no such thing that would fit every person on the earth. A proper education, so, has got to be personalised, considering the student as the centre, not the teaching OR the teacher.

And since this is the Religion & Spirituality section, let me remind you that 'spiritual' does not necessarily mean 'religious'. So, yes. I would support a spiritual education for all people. But not necessarily a religious education.

The most proper education any person can receive is one where they learn they are loved unconditionally for all that they are - mind-body-heart and soul. Without being taught how to give and receive love, all areas of a person's life will have a deficit and will suffer for that lack of love.

Unconditional love ties all aspects of the person together into unity and harmony with themselves and all others in the world.

If you ask how do I think, I will say I use my brain. But if you ask what do I think I will agree with you.
I believe that our reason for life is to evolve spiritually, so our education should teach us how to think independently, and what techniques are available for spiritual evolvement.
The fact that all present education systems do exactly the opposite of that would seem to indicate that we are being intentionally manipulated by some malevolent force.

Literacy (including literary appreciation, reading, and writing), mathematics, logic.

All else should be left to the child based on his/her particular talents and inclinations.

Not all people believe in a spiritual realm, but the foundation in logic will provide the child ample opportunity to make such decisions for himself/herself as appropriate.

I think no matter who you are or what your religion is, you should treat your fellow humans with respect and integrity. This includes everyone.

Far too often do I see those who preach from the bible and quote from the bible, and tell you how religious they are, hating on a group of people, especially gays. Why not live like you preach for others to live, love thy neighbor?

Respect everyone and treat them as you want to be treated. That would solve all the worlds problems.

People need to be taught how to accept them selves, love them selves, trust their own inner knowing, intuition. And stop trying to keep up with the Jones and worrying about what other may think of them....Another words Self Love.
