I got a C in Chemistry and hated every minute of it. Just get through it and hope your college does not require Organic Chemistry as well because then you'll have to suffer through two Chem classes.

Math skills are very important, multiplication, ratios, percentages, dosage calculations, conversions, basic algebra equations, common sense, that's what you need.

It's not very important at all. Most nursing programs will let you choose from a variety of courses to fufill your science requirements. And on a day to day basis, being a nurse you don't really use much chemistry, if any. Counting out pills, measuring liquids, drawing blood, that's about it. Don't let a fear of chemistry stand in your way of doing what you want!

I did not do well in chemistry either, u just have to have a little sense in math to be a good nurse or else u have the chance of killing ur patients by accident. see we dont mix drugs but at least u have to have common sense that when u push dilantin on d5w...it will form a precipitate and can clog up ur very patent IV.....so yeah...no need to be a genius chemist but at least pass ur chemistry u will do okay, and be ready to memorize lots of stuff like lab normal values and names of drugs....

In my opinion you dont need to know chemistry to be a good nurse. You might need to take it as part of your degree, but I think some schools offer life science chemistry so its more human chem than pyre memorizing of chemicals and stuff. Are u in college? alot of schools its hard to transfer into nursing.
