I have read that people who insist on showers after sex think that the sex is dirty. Do you think that he could have some hang-ups. Hasn't he read or heard of afterplay? Does he have a shower also, or is he having a romantic shower with you. It doesn't sound like it. Your whole statement makes me uneasy and it seems like he would be a hard one to train to be a better lover. I found something on the web that says fewer than 20% of the people shower after sex and I imagine that nearly all of them do it by choice.

first off, does he take a shower also or does he just lay there. I think i would tell him to get over it, after all it is your body. I usually clean up after sex and totally agree with you that sleep after sex is the BEST sleep

Hi I guess most people answered your question and I guess Im just telling about my fantasy involving my boy friend. He and I are too young to have sex but I love his scent. He exercises a lot and amongst other attributes he has his male smell sends me through the roof. If I sent him to the shower I would go with him. Or maybe he would prefer a nicely scented bubble bath; perhaps a citrus flavor, rose, or lilac. I would see that he got perfectly clean including that manly part between his legs that I would treat with special attention. Since I would be sharing the bath with him in order to save on water (its our civic duty) if suddenly he turned and faced me and because hes soooo strong and manly it went inside me I would have recourse but to lie there holding him tight so he wouldnt slip and submitting as only a girl can to a man's needs.
Oh well some day (sigh)

Maybe your bf thinks that if you don't wash up, you will be infected by some kind of bacteria or things like that. It is advisable to wash after sex but there may be another problem.
Perhaps he has some conscious problem. He may think that it is wrong to have sex since you guys are not married and he wants you to "clean up". An idea I got from one of the episode of Sex and the City.

Yup. before you get started, just say, "hey, I'm not in the mood to take a shower." That, or bring some Lysol to bed with you and spray it on the sheets and say no. ha! He's being a jerk. Bending over backwards once is enough. Good luck.

Me & my hubby shower before sex, but usually just wash up afterwards. When we are done, I need to rest for a few minutes before I can do anything else.

You should watch every episode of Sex and the City. There are all kinds of funny situations like and including yours. You should try talking to your boyfriend about this or just tell him that you enjoy being dirty and there is nothing wrong with it. You will shower when you are ready. Bear in mind that he is not likely to change however. Can you deal with that? I wouldn't. I also would not let anyone try to change me. I totally agree with you.

If this guy cant stand the way you smell after sex he is a weirdo...the smell or "aroma" of just finished sex should be an aphrodisiac for the next session...which should occur in a few minutes after the last session...ever heard of pheromones?.....

A little time isn't bad but all night might be. Tell him to go take a shower.
