Have you looked up the values for them? Try http://www.kbb.com/ Maybe that'll help you decide.

PT Cruiser. I have heard that the Catera is made poorly. Don't know if it's true or not. Anyway, I think the PT Cruiser will have better resale value and is definitely stylish. The Catera is kind of a dated look now.

With the choices you have and wanting style and comfort for a bargain I'd go for the Catera the caddy that zigs. I think they look nice, They seem to ride nice. But that me and I am not into the whole pt cruiser. it looks like some took a dump on a skate board

Take some good advice the Cadillac will give you much better service and less time in the shop, The PT has some record of electrical concerns and suspension noise. If you only want a car fore a year, you might consider an older used car, when you resell it you will take a big loss on either vehicle.
Do some home work and go to NHTSA and do a Technical Service Bulletins search as well as a recall search it will help you make a good choice and warn you of the condition of both cars.
Good luck and GOD Bless,

Jackie

Even though I'm not fond of both choices, I would go with the PT Cruiser. The car would have a better resale value since its newer, more popular model, and the mileage isn't so bad right now.

2000 more bucks and you can buy a brand new pt cruiser.. in my neck of the woods they are going for 9550 and just not a stripped oput version... never heard of a catera but it wont hold any re-sale like the pt will get the pt you may get all your money back in a year..

The Catera is a rear wheel drive vehicle. It is something you might consider if you don't like rear wheel drive.

The Cruiser is probally much better on gas mileage.

two questions of my own:

are you a chick?

are you gay?

if you answered 'no' to both of these questions, then why are you asking whether you should buy a PT Cruiser?

and if you are one of them, still...... get some taste
