If so, then is it ok for a Christian to require the person who did them wrong ask for forgiveness?

In the Bible, Didn't Jesus say that if a man asks you for forgiveness, you must forgive him 70 x 7? Key words here is that the person had to ask for the forgiveness. Right? Or have I missed something here.

what I've felt
what I've known
never shined through in what I've shown
never free
never me
so I dub the unforgiven

Being forgiven is overrated.

Yes, you have to ask God for forgiveness if you do not get the chance to forgive someone for the same sin. True Christians forgive those who sin against them without being asked, because they know that in so doing they will be forgiven for the same kind of transgression.

As it is written: "If we make it our habit to confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us those sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9)

As to the second part of your question, it is not a requirement that a Christian have the person who did the offending to ask for it. God tells us that we must forgive if we are to be forgiven. It does not require that the offender ask for it.

As it is written: "For if you forgive people their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive people their offenses, your Father will not forgive your offenses." (Matthew 6:14-15)

The promise is conditional, and is not predicated on the offender asking first. The Christian is to take the high road and forgive. Period.

A caveat is this: "If your brother sins against you, go and confront him while the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother." (Matthew 18:15)

Yes, you ask God for forgiveness. No, you can't require someone to ask for it. This answer is straight from the Bible. It preaches that you should forgive anyone who has wronged you and even pray for them. When you do wrong, you get forgiveness if you ask for it. It's the way.

Tricky question because you are asking two sides.
Will God forgive us - yes. Do we need to ask - yes, but for our sakes so the hurt/burn may be healed in us.
Can Christians require...people can require anything they desire in a relationship. Will it hurt the relationship? Yes. Do they then need to ask forgiveness for requiring such - from God yes. What they have freely received they need to freely give.
As does the person who has been required to ask forgiveness. Holding on to the wrong only hurts that person.

If you are a true Christian that has love for everyone then you would find it in your heart to forgive the person that did you wrong, without them asking for your forgiveness.

We are to forgive others as God forgives us. If God were only to forgive us when we ask, we would be in a heap of trouble for all of us sin daily without even always being aware of it.

Why can't you forgive them without their apologies if you are a true Christian. Most of the cases, you need to forgive them without being asked. What Jesus said when he was cruxified? He said, please forgive them as they do not know what are they doing. That's the way he showed you the way of forgiveness.

That is part of the repentence process. If your sins hurt another...especially if you purposely intended to hurt them, by any means...you should seek forgiveness of those whose you committed the sin against. Then when you've done all you can, turn to God, and ask for forgiveness...and try your best to not repeat the sin...forsaking the sin is a HUGE part of repentence.

YES. And no, simply because we cannot judge others. Asking for forgiveness means you realize you were wrong. Expecting someone to ask you for forgiveness indicates that they were wrong. They may not feel they were.

i might say that God might forgive Satanif he ever desperate to ask for it because of the fact God forgives evere sin. the element is that i'm not so constructive devil might ever say sorry because of the fact it rather is in simple terms not in him to sense sense sorry approximately. Hahaha. i might say that i can forgive devil for what he has achieved considering the fact that'ts the only way that i would be waiting to circulate forward and unfastened myself from being a sufferer to him.
