I can sing a little and write somewhat, but how in the hell can I not be a loser in the future and not have a shitty job? I don't want to wait until I'm 45 to finally figure out what my calling is.

Please identify what makes your life worth living. Is it to serve? To protect? To create? Something else?

Once you are able to identify that Burgermeister M, selecting a career based on your life's driving force will be easier.

God put everybody on this earth with a talent. All you have to do is some thinking negative and think positive about your life.

Behavior Modification is an excellent way to start. Will help you to build some self esteem. You say that you can "sing a little and write somewhat". Did you ever stop to think that these two gifts may be your true talent in life and you should run with them and see where they take you. Beats being negative about yourself as that kind of attitude will only make you a "loser", in your own words.

You can start when you get up in the morning and look into the mirror in your bathroom and say, "I love myself an I am a very important person on this earth". Builds positive self esteem.

Instead of wasting your energy standing around being negative about yourself, start putting that energy to positive use and work daily at building your self esteem.

If necessary take a piece of paper and write down the things that you know you would enjoy doing in life and the things that you know you would most dislike doing in life. Then work at the positive until you find the one or two things that you are sure will make you happy in life.

Just remember that what ever you decide in life, don't let money be your guide as money does not buy happiness in life.

Good luck to you.

hehehe why you put this question under mental health?
best is find some decent job to pay your bill and try your interest in free times. if singing work out then it's all the best but until it haven't then try to do something to keep you alive.

My suggestion would be, and someday I may follow it as well, is to go to college, trade school, or technical institute to help you with your future.

its not just about what you are good at. its what you are interested in. you can become good at just about anything with enough work. go to school, find out what area seems fun and go with it. if not, go to another area. its ok to not know.
