I'm a veterinary technician and it is really important that you take youre dog to the vet. It could be something small, that just needs some bland food for a while, but it could be serious and dogs are renown for not showing pain. If there is diarrhoea for more than 24 hours, see the vet. Same for vomiting. If your dog is straining to poo, and won't eat, but seems hungry, there could be a bowel blockage, which is very serious. What diet is your dog on? If you feed your dog high amounts of fat (1 sausage will do), they can get pancreatitis and be very unwell. Go and have a chat to a vet nurse at you're local vet about the symptoms and they will let you know if you should have a visit.

The first person had it..Plain White rice! I would let his stomach rest for 12 to 24 hours then cook a big pot of White rice..Feed him small portions If that stays in him the next day you can slowly start adding his food back in a bit at a time . Its cheap and easy..If that doesnt work see the Vet... Good Luck!

I found this on a Luv Dogs website.
UPSET STOMACH REMEDY (for dogs and cats) -
1 cup distilled or spring water
1 tsp. slippery elm powder
1 Tbsp. honey (for dogs)
Place water in a small saucepan and mix in powder, stirring with a whisk to remove all lumps. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. After mixture reaches a boil, turn down to simmer and stir a few
more minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat. Allow to cool. Mix in food at mealtime. Give 1/2 teaspoon three or four times a day to a cat. Give 1 teaspoon to 3 tablespoons (depending on your dog's size) three or four times a day. If dog or cat will not
eat, you can give it with a teaspoon, syringe, or baster

If the dog has a loose stool "Kaopectate" works as good or better than anything else.
We have traveled the show circuits for years and years, and would never consider leaving home with a truck full of dogs without a box of Kaopectate. More important than their food sometimes ;)

Kaopectate use 1 teaspoon per 10lbs. of dog every 4-6 hours
or
PeptoBismol use 1 teaspoon per 20lbs. of dog every 4-6 hours.
This is safe for dogs but should never be used on cats due to the newer reformulation of ingredients.
If your dog does not improve after two days, take it to the Vet.

PEPTO-BISMOL IS FINE; I'M A FOSTER MOM FOR A RESCUE GROUP, AND OFTEN THE CHANGE IN DIET OR ENVIRONMENT CAN CAUSE UPSET TUMMIES. USE AN EYE DROPPER TO GIVE ONE TEASPOON/15 LBS. WEIGHT, BUT THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION FOR A DOG THAT SHOULD BE SEEN BY A VET. DIGESTIVE INFECTIONS WILL NOT BE CURED BY HOME REMEDIES.

my dog once ate a big chunk of rancid fat that he found in the alley, his stomach was gurgling badly and he was farting so i just force fed him a couple of rolaids every 4 or 5 hrs and he felt better but be cautious not to do this for a long period of time or else his stool will become chalky and he will be constipated

cooked white rice (no butter or salt) with cooked beef. Or grass from your backyard. Dogs naturally eat grass when they have upset stomachs.

Does he have access to a grassy area? They eat grass for upset stomachs; just make sure there are no insecticides! Don't give him human stuff, it could be poison!
