I have always heard from Christians that they support Israel because the Jews are G-d’s chosen people.

Personally as a Jew is this answer disturbs me for several reasons but that’s not my question.

My question is how far dose that loyalty go? If Israel were to become a religious theocracy to the level that Iran or Saudi Arabia is would you still support it because its Jewish?

I always pray for the peace of Jerusalem. If Israel's government does wrong things I still don't want to see them nuked or annihilated!

I hear what your saying.I am a christian but believe as I am instructed in 2 John 1:6-11 that anyone who rejects the Son of God is a deceiver and an anti-Christ and to avoid and rebuke them whether they be Jew or Gentile. Also you might want to read Galatians 3:16,26-29.God people are not the Jews but those who choose to follow His Son.Abraham was not a Jew but a Syrian , the word Jew came from the tribe of Judah of which Christ came from, but just as Abraham left all and followed Christ not knowing were God would lead so should we.And as for you dear friend if you don't know Jesus and dislike Jews well you could end up spending a lot of time with them who don't except Jesus.

This is a great question, I just don't know how to answer it.

I think the idea of supporting a country, or even a single race is completely silly. I support humanity, of course there are various cultures around the globe, but basicly we are all the same people.

I truly have no idea how the 'I support Israel no matter what' feelings work, or even how a brain functions that thinks in that way.

Great question however, and some answers are truly scary to read..

Well as a Christian myself, I support Israel as a Jewish state, because God Gave the Jewish people Israel.

When you say a"religious theocracy to the level of Iran or Saudi Arabia," do you mean as in "persecuting religious minorities?" If the answer is 'no' I would not.

Now, there are those who say that Israel already does persecute minorities such as the Palestinians, etc. In the case of Israel's treatment of Palestinians, it is out of pure mistrust, rather than out & out bigotry, which causes Israel to crack down tough on Palestinians, etc. In actual fact, Israel's Muslim neighbours, such as the afore-mentioned Iran & Saudi Arabia which are out to destroy Israel, rather than the other way around.

Once all the countries in the MiddleEast, Palestinians included, accept Israel in their midst, there will be peace.

I support Israel with the right to exist like a State.. because that territory it was gave by God to Jewish People, I would not accepted a state like Iran or Saudi Arabia,Israel should have a good relationship with their neigbhoords arabs, I said in the first line about to support Israel the right to exist like a State, but I don't support the violence in the Middle east, I think Israel has the right to fight againts the enemy if they attacked

I believe the future of Israel is pre-ordained and prophecied in the bible. I have no concerns because God is in control and events have already started unfolding that fulfill this prophecy.

When some Islamists or the State of Iran assert such lies as the holocaust never happened and as the President of Iran has voiced his opinion that Israel does not have a right to exist and they intend to destroy them I have a problem with this because they are going against what God has said. The re-establishment of the State of Israel was a fulfillment of bible prophecy and just the beginning of events to come.

Christians are actually told to pray for peace in Israel in the bible.

As a christian I believe it is wrong, Christians supports truth, that is what we see even in the early Christians in the Bible. When Jewish Christians asked other Christians to get circumcised ALL Christians stood against Jews.

I support Israel because I think they have a right to exist as a country, and because they do not resort to terrorism, but only try to protect themselves against those who are terrorists. If they would become terrorists, or do something wrong I would not support them. And of course, they DO do many things wrong, and I don't support the wrong stuff. But overall, I support them.

Americn Xtians, Xtian zionist some people call them support Isreal because before Jesus comes back the Dome of the Rock must be destroyed and the Third Temple built.

Once that's done, and pure red calf and some other BS happens Jesus comes back slaughters all the non-beleivers and sets up his kingdom here on earth.

The list of non-believers includes Jews.

Christians supported the corporation of the Jewish state of Israel because of the fact they think it quite is what God needs. the section became under British administration only earlier the 2d international conflict, it became arid in places and not a lot of human beings lived there. the those that did stay there have been Arab/Palestinian and Jewish and all have been only getting on with residing. After the conflict ended and we found what Nazi Germany had achieved to the Jews the international desperate that it would be trouble-free to grant the Jews that have been dispersed everywhere in the international a place of foundation. So the international desperate a thank you to handle the Jewish situation via arising Israel which did start up the present scenario. i've got faith that God does intend to grant a place of foundation for His human beings, yet God will do it His way and the present state of Israel has been created via guy and as a result will conflict to stay to tell the tale. by way of the Bible God has dealt with his human beings via sending them into exile on each and every occasion they have been disobedient (sinned) Jews have been scattered in the everyday international as a effect of Gods intervention. in spite of the undeniable fact that, earlier we component the finger at what the Jewish human beings would desire to or would desire to not have achieved incorrect, we would desire to consistently consistently look in the mirror first. the actuality that there became a desire to grant the Jewish human beings a place of foundation is a credit to maximum of the worlds peoples, the Palestinians if additionally they supported this attempt might locate that there would desire to be a extra non violent thank you to settle the concern. Firing rockets into your neighbours lower back backyard is rarely a thank you to be certain stable kinfolk. there became room for Jew and Palestinian to stay section via section, yet we've this stupid concept that we are in a position to 'own' some thing. as quickly as we die, we gained't take something with us, it quite is left for the subsequent era. by way of conflict, we've geared up up generations who harbour hate in direction of others for motives they have forgotten. the detest keeps to be and that they act on it at any probability that comes their way. God fortuitously has a plan to be certain His u . s . a . peacefully, it is going to come.
