I clean my house like normal people do, but I have no real want to do it. My friends houses are all spotless but I just don't get it. How do you clean with 3 kids and no cleaning gen. My mother cleans like a pro. I'm doing good to just get socks to match let alone be white. Please how do you prioritise and actually have fun doing it?

Honey, don't feel bad. Some people just aren't cut out to be Suzy-Homemaker. You should see my house! HA!!

Just because your house isn't spotless like the "Jones'" doesn't mean you're a bad mom, or a bad housekeeper. It just means that you have other things to do and making sure your house is perfect isn't a priority. Who cares if your socks aren't stark white? Does anyone really see them? I didn't inherit the cleaning gene either. I'm still waiting for the cleaning fairy to visit my house. LOL

Just do what you can when you can. As long as your laundry is clean and your dishes are done, does it really matter if you have some clutter around the house? Just shows that your house is lived in and that you have a life. =D

I have no idea how some people can manage to take care of their kids, cook dinner every night and always have a spotless house either? I feel like every time I clean up (which is basically every day), a few hours later it is a mess all over again. For me there just are not enough hours in the day. I guess I prioritize by putting my daughter first, and then making sure things that absolutely need to be clean are clean, like kitchen and bathrooms and keeping up with laundry. I usually get these things done when she is napping. If I get anything else done it is a bonus. I also try to set goals for myself, like "today I am going to dust the furniture" and do my best to make the time for it since I usually feel guilty if I don't. My husband and I say to each other every time we have company and the house is immaculate "we have got to pretend that we are having company every day so the house stays like this". It never happens though.

My house is spotless, but it isn't easy! I have a 3 year old, a golden retriever, an old Pomeranian who pees on my floors and a husband who doesn't like to clean up after himself. on top of that i work full time!
i feel pressure sometimes (OK, all the time) to keep my house clean because my husband's family likes to just "pop in" to say hi. Not much fun...
I do it by constantly cleaning up. I vacuum every other day with a large vacuum and on the other days i have one of those "swivel sweepers". i wash my floors at least 3x a week with my carpet cleaner that converts into a hard floor cleaner. I dust a few times a week and clean the toilets and bathrooms every day.
I get home from work at about 4:30 and I'm done with everything by about 6:30, then I start dinner and clean up after we eat.
My son is a huge help, even though he is only 3. He makes his own bed and picks up his own clothes and toys, and sometimes he likes to dust the furniture with our swifer duster.
It's pretty crazy, but I like to have a clean house, and that is just what has to be done to have one...

Well, I can proudly say that I have an 18 month old little girl and my house is also spotless. However, I do not enjoy doing it. I do it because of course I have to. Now with three kids I'll have to tell you when I get there but try putting them to help you sometimes. Maybe you can make it into a game if your kids are young enough. I know with my daughter I'm already teaching how to clean and she enjoys helping me. So don't worry not everyone enjoys doing it but I guess getting your kids to help and making it a game will make it less boring.

I am a terrible housekeeper and I will be the first to admit it. But, I have found that most people that having messy house issues also have clutter issues. Try de-cluttering your home by boxing up items (old toys, clothes, etc.) and minimizing stuff in your home. Then, enlist your family in having some clutter-free and spotless zones (kitchen, family room, etc.). Also, try waking up about an hour before your kids and pick up without them or deep clean a bathroom. Just by putting stuff back where it belongs and prioritizing certain rooms, you will feel a little more in control and not so overwhelmed.

No one I know has fun doing it - you just do it. My husband and I argue about this quite a bit becasue he's more of a neat freak than I am. I mean, I"m not a slob, but I don't get some thrill out of housecleaning. What I did to cut down on the arguing was make a weely schedule of the big jobs like laundry, cleaning floors, scrubbing bathrooms, etc. It helped me to stay on task and to not try to do too much. For example, I know Monday is laundry day and I stick to that one big job, in addition to the normal day to day stuff. The only way I have "fun" at it is by reminding myself taht, when I am done, I'm free!!

I have recently become unemployed, My husband works and my son works(18). It's all I can do to get off the couch or the computer these days. If they would pick up after themselves it wouldn't be so bad, but NOOOOO "mom is home now she needs a job it might as well be cleaning the house" I only have the 2 adults I pity the women with small children. I told my husband I want the going rate for a house keeper.

It is a lot more difficult to keep your house clean with 3 children. I think some people just LIKE to clean (why I'm not sure! LOL) and some don't. I'm one of the ones that don't like to clean - but like my house to be clean. Not a good combination. Depending on your kid's ages maybe they could help you a little bit. At least it may keep them occupied enough to give you time to get some things done yourself. Good luck!

clean coal is in actuality an oxymoron. however the term 'clean coal' refers to shooting and sequestering the carbon dioxide it is released whilst coal is burned. it is nonetheless not easily clean, yet in concept it would not make a contribution to worldwide warming. There are a pair important problems with this. a million) it is an costly technique, and this makes 'clean coal' extra costly than many varieties of renewable skill, which easily are clean. 2) despite in case you may capture the greenhouse gases, then you definately would desire to locate a place to shop them, it is a confusing concept. 'clean coal' probable will in no way become very ordinary for those 2 motives. quite it is only a thank you to throw a bone to the areas which count number on coal for their community economies.

I too am missing the cleaning gene. I totally don't care. I would rather be ENJOYING LIFE & doing one of my hobbies (knitting, painting, etc.) than sitting there scrubbing stuff that will just get dirty again. You have 3 kids, enjoy them. You spending time with your children is far more important to them than all that cleaning, I know this from first-hand experience.
