Simple. He's not the way, the truth, or the life. He's a fraud.

Theism makes no sense in a universe where there's no free will.

Because they GOD gave us free will and two paths to follow. He wants everyone to go down the straight and narrow but that dose'nt always happen. We have to surrender our entire body and mind to the Lord have faith and follow him every step of the way. For some people this is too hard. Just like Adam and Eve.They had all they wanted and needed right in front of them, yet they still fell from the Lord. Nothing has changed. GOD promises us eternal life if we believe and surrender yet people don't do it. All I can say is that its human nature but not excusable to say the least. GOD BLESS

Because they would prefer to "do it their way":.

The religions of this world say "do", do this, and that, and the other thing in order to win or earn your way to an afterlife.

The Christian Faith says "DONE". Done on Calvary's Cross. He died for our sins. He was delivered for our offences and raised for our justification. Remember how, on the cross, we hear the Victor's shout of triumph "It Is Done". It is a free Gift ... offered ... why won't you accept such a costly gift?

Because people are free to make a choice. God encourages christians to witness to others, but people still have that choice to say yes or no to God. He will not force someone to accept Him into their lives. However, there will be a time, when those who refuse to accept Christ as their savior, they will have to answer for it, and there future will be ultimately decided by God.

to me, and the God which I have my faith in (ironically, the same one as jesus followed) belief in jesus would be polytheistic and idolotorous.

and my God gives me the eternal life and forgiveness and such, personally, so its not a problem.

simple question, simple answer, :-)

edit: some of these answers below, I find truly fascinating. and showing of how people think and feel.
it amazes me how hard it is for some people to seem to fathom beliving JUST in GOD, the one jesus talked to, and not jesus.

>>"sadly, many people because of pride don't want to admit that they need Jesus Christ to save them,"<<

at least for me, it has nothing to do with pride. I do not feel like I can "save" myself entirely by doings, I indeed need God's help that last step.
but I just have God himself... yes, the same one that jesus himself talked to.
>>"The religions of this world say "do", do this, and that, and the other thing in order to win or earn your way to an afterlife."<<
religion is definitionally for this world. spirituality is for the next.
religion treading on spirituality's turf is never going to be a good thing.

most people dont want to believe because there is no concrete proof. Others just dont care. This world is getting spiritually colder day by day as more and more people lose faith. I have the feeling that by the time the rapture happens there will probably only be 144000 left who believe.

Remember our precious lord and savior Jesus Christ said in john 6-44 no one can come to me unless the father draws him to me,and we are also reminded in 2 Thessalonians that whom the lord loves god chose you from the beginning to be saved.

Not everyone believes in supernatural or magical things. Do a little reading or "real" history books (college level and professional) to find out the truth.

Who says he is "the way, the truth and all the other stuff?" It's just a way of thinking. If I think something else and I'm not hurting myself or anyone, how is that any of your business? What business is it of the Christians?

Perhaps they are at a place in their lives where they can't accept it. That's why there are lots of different religions out there and also why some people choose not to have one at all.

Because the hardness of our hearts, it is sad i know. Every day is see sheep scattered without a Shepard and it saddens me. Why do they not see, because sadly these are the last days. We tried and obviously we failed, look at this world we have created with our own hands, look, and cry with me.
