think irrational thoughts at some point on a daily basis. they're not irrational as in "i'm an idiot" if i lose on a computer game, they usually consist of thoughts of praying to satan, yet i'm not a satanist or devil worshipper, and i know this for a fact, as i am friends with one, and there are no similarities between us in that dept what so ever.

or someone says something, and i imagine various scenarios(both good and bad),

or i can be sitting alone, and i have thoughts of a world that is censored, like, where old people can't keep up with the times, or wear modern clothing, or young ppl can't kiss or show affection in public

does it come under any types of psycological problems, as i have been told from a doctor and a psychiatrist, that i am not mentally ill

i sometimes wonder if its my brains way of trying to form me into a type of "god" so to speak. but i don't know, which is why i'm on here, hehe

You appear to be a creative person. The world needs creative people.

Two things. First, you are making the possibly erroneous assumption that you know what is rational. Sure, some things in your world seem rational and others not, but that is merely from the limited perspective of one observer. What is rational depends upon the perspective brought to the question, so that it is easy to see that what is rational to Jack may be quite irrational to Jane. There is no absoute benchmark, you see, nor can there ever be.

Second, no one - say it out loud, NO ONE - can control the flow of thought. Surely you can see this is true, for if you could control your thoughts, then you would have no problem such as the one you describe.

Consider this food for thought.

It is probably you just have an overactive brain. It is like dreams. We have dreams so that our brain can process things that have happened during the day. I know that my dreams make no sense.

I usually have strange random thoughts during the day. My son does as well. Sometimes it scares my husband if I actually tell him what I am thinking.

You would be mentally ill if you couldn't tell reality from your imagination. If you hear voices or see things that aren't there. If you have difficulty telling right from wrong.

I am not sure why. I myself experience irrational thoughts at some points daily too... For me, I often get irritated for nothing.. I will then think of weird things. I often wonder why..

Sorry, I can't help you. Hope others can shed some light on this..

you are NO type of "god"....sorry. but if you find a woman who thinks so....marry her!

I have weird thoughts like that too....it usually involves visions of bad ways certain situations could end....like what would happen if I stuck my tongue to a pan that has been heated on the stove?

I have never been called normal...but in my opinion, I think you are normal! Enjoy your vivid imagination!

You ARE A THINKER. And this is not some personality test, or ego check. You need to channel that knowledge or your person, apply it, and devote it some school of thought. NOTHING wrong with you, Just apply it academically, further your studies, etc.

i would say you actualy sound a bit like me,and if thats the case you arnt mentil you just have a very vivid imagination.for example i find it very easy to think about about one thing from the other,i will think about a film with a famous actor in then i will think about that actor and forget about the film then i will think about something the actor has done, like getting arrested, then i will think about criminals, then keep going from one thing to another.

Don't worry about it, your normal!! It is just you are willing to talk about it! Everyone has these thoughts. I have had them. I don't think you would be normal if you didn't think these things from time to time. Everyone does but they don't admit it.

Sounds like either O.C.D (obsessive compulsive disorder) or anticipatory anxiety.
