Marys mother had 2 sons, a daughter, and an odd infatuation with money. She loved money so much in fact that she had a habbit of naming her children after money. Yes, the answer was mary. Congrats to those of you who got it, if you didn't read the answers first.
No reason to be all haughty about it. Many people read a question without actually reading it. Yes, the question did say at the very beginning that MARY'S MOTHER had 2 sons and a daughter, so obviously the name was mary. However, we tend to forget things we read as we collect more data. The information regarding the money and names threw some people off, as it usually does, and they simply assume the answer is something entirely different, or that would fit in with the main body of the question, such as penny, or, as one sneaky user wrote and then promptly deleted, dolly, as in dollar.
