I'm 20 right now, never been in love and I've only dated about 3 girls in my life time. This is mostly because of how girls are my age or even younger (18, 19) they're very hard to trust and the way our society seems to be moving they be even harder to trust in the future. I would just want someone to grow old with, share some good times together and just have fun knowing that we can trust each other, I want one of those 50th anniversary's.

Right now I'm not looking for a girl because I'm running my own business and I want to get that going first to secure my finances.

But my main question is, is it best to just stay single throughout life?

IIn my opinion, it is not best to stay single. Life is meant to be shared with someone. Not alone and working your butt off all the time. At the end of the day, you want someone to cuddle and share your time with. I really believe that life is all about finding a spouse and making a path together... as old-fashioned and boring as that sounds to some people your age.

No, I used to think as you do, I've had 3 gf in my life also, but the last one was 14 years ago, and I can tell you the loneliness doesn't seem bad now but trust me, it will change from a feeling, to an emotion, then to a manifestation, and it will chew on you evert day. Don't spend your life alone unless you like invisible friends.

Of course it is not a good idea to stay single all through your life.but i think your idea is good to stay alone for your business for a periode of time.May it is 3 or 4 years. As you have to concentrate on it to make it better. Then you can start searching for your soulmate.May it is hard, but all kind people will get that. All best for your business and your furture seeking process.
