I'm going back to the Philippines next month and i have plan to change my passport to use my husband last name. But I have Non- immigrant visa here in Thailand and use the my last name on my visa. Is my visa going to apec if i'm going to change my passport in the philippines?

I know this lots of work..But for me you have to contact the immigration here in Thailand before you change your Passport to make it sure....

For now, it will be much simpler if you continue to use your existing Philippine passport with your maiden name. Otherwise, you will have to amend your existing passport (which can lead to confusion), or apply for a new Philippine passport and either get a new Thai visa, or carry a certified (and translated) copy of your name change along with your old passport and your new passport.

Officials take border security so much more seriously now; the less complicated you make your situation, the fewer problems you should encounter.

i'm guessing, but it shouldn't matter. the name change is a small change. my wife changed hers and all they did was stamp a page in the back with the new name. it is a hassle in airports, because the name doesn't match her drivers license (unless the security is smart enough to find the name change in the back of the passport).
