It doesn't matter what type of alcoholic beverage you're drinking because they all have the same base ingredient: alcohol. One isn't going to be better for your liver than the other because it all gets processed the same way. A shot of whiskey has the same amount of alcohol as a 12 oz. beer or a glass of wine.
How hard your liver works depends on the amount of alcohol you drink. The more you drink, the harder your liver has to work to process the alcohol.

The most severe problems would belong to the whiskey drinker,12 ounces of liquor a day is rather harsh on the liver. The soda drinker would be next, Cavities and possibly GI problems. I believe that the beer and wine would both suffer very little from their consupmtion, recent medical research shows that a glass of wine or a can of beer a day can actually have benifits to ones healt

Alcohol is what harms your liver.1 oz of hard liquor is the same as 24 ozs of regular beer or 8 oz glass of wine. I've been drinking for 30 years without any health problems just remember to eat well & drink lots of water.Enjoy!

Whiskey or any hard alcohol is way harsher on your liver than beer. Hard Alcohol has a WAYYYY higher proof content than beer and will destroy your liver WAYYY faster than beer.

I can tell you, 1 beer is equal to 1 shot of whiskey. in alcohol content and processing. it takes two hours for the process and it is the same, Hard drinking is rough on anyone. Have your doctor check your enzyme levels.

In terms of alcohol content, 1 beer = 1 shot of whiskey = 1 glass of wine. In other words, in the units we ordinarily drink them, they are all equal.

First I would say that they are all hard on the liver. The severity is dependant on how much of each you drink.
Are we talking about a Tallboy of your favorite lager vs. a shot of Jager , or a can of your favorite beer vs. an alabama slammer in a 16-24 oz. glass?

Alcohol is hard on the liver. So are the formaldehyde and other poisons which are contained in alcoholic drinks.

Stick to the beer because they are both equal and it will take you longer to drink the beer, and GIVE you longer to enjoy the good time you're having.
