I seriously had cancer three times. Each time it came back it got worse. I received chemo, a bone marrow transplant, and finally radiation. I ended up in a coma for a few weeks and couldn't walk or eat by myself for a month. That was six years ago now.

I too had lost all hope. Find something that you really like in life and enjoy it. I bought a sailboat in the middle of winter while I was undergoing radiation and each visit I would tell myself that I am going to use my boat before I die. Buy yourself something nice every now and then to lift your spirits. You're in for a long haul and anything and everything helps

you may have lost hope, but think about the time you have left with your family and loved ones. If you treat the rest of your days like crap, where is that gonna get you? Be happy for each day you have left, and keep your spirits up...I know it may be hard, but you gotta try. Your kids don't want a sad daddy, and I'm sure your wife doesn't either....what i mean is, your death is gonna be hard enough on them, why make it worse?? Cherish the time you have left...make sure you tell them everyday you love them with all your heart!

I'm not saying to go into denial about what might be wrong either. But again, i say, Live like there is nothing wrong, spend as much fun time as you can with your kids and wife. They can cry for you when the time is right. Good luck, and I'm sorry for your hurt.

please see a dr, before you worry yourself into getting worse. You can miss read symptoms sometimes and fear the worse, and i think when you have kids as well your whole thought process changes, and you get paranoid into thinking every lump or bump is the dreaded C and that you are going to be taken from your family. And you know what, worrying about anything in the night seems far far worse than during the day. All my hope is with you for the best - but get to the DR.

I am really sorry to hear this and I will pray for you; but there is still alot in life you get to experience that many others dont--learning to appreciate the small things in life, getting to know yourself and becoming more firm in your beliefs, getting closer to your family etc. Obviously no one wants to get cancer, but you have to realize it was God's destiny and who knows, maybe something good will come out of this. You are now on a spiritual and mental journey to happiness, and although religion might be last on your mind I can't help but think of that old saying "there are no atheists in fox holes" This is a learning experience and a reminder from God "To Him we belong and to Him we shall return" Perhaps you can learn about the principles of Islam. I think it will provide you with emotional stability and pleasure in life (life's sole purpose is to prepare for the next right?) Peace and God bless!

Why don't you see a doctor, so that instead of "believing" you have cancer, you can

1) find out for sure
2) start a treatment

Throat cancer is curable if caught early and treated aggresively.

If you don't have hope for yourself, why don't you have hope to live as long as you can for your family?

Go to a doctor. It doesn' t have to be cancer. There are so many things out there with similar symptoms. Also the sooner it is detected the easier it will be to treat.
