I do. you have to always be ready for a person to want more and take what you have. it is human nature to want more. even if you never use your military for a 100 years, it is better to have one and be ready than not have one and wish you did.

Of course.

Unfortunately, some people out there still believes that one can have peace without the presence of a creditable armed forces.

They are the ones who would disagree with this statement.

But the only true way to win a war is to not fight it ", thats B.S. ask the French in WWII. You don't fight and you will be dominated for sure.

Keep in mind the actual mission of the United States Army. " To deter war and in the event that deterrence fails fight and win onthe battlefield".

oh dude yes...
The definantion of peace is..... serenity, calm or quiet.
so how can u have serenity and be calm if you know that if an attack such as 9/11 or pearl harbor could occur tomorow and you could be stuck on your heels without the means or weapons or stratagies to go in and defend yourself?

You must be ready, and prepared, in case the very worst should come your way. We can NOT bury our heads in the sand, when all the world is raging around you.
