Is an exagerated problem, it is much better to have global warming than an ice age and most likely, if it werent for human civilization, we would indeed be in an ice age. Global warming is somewhat inevitable and there are things we can do to lessen the effects but to solve it it would mean ending civilization.

Global warming is very serious. All over the world, there are places that are experiencing global warming and its effects. Along the west coast of the US, the water level is rising and the snowpack in the cascade is decreasing which is threatening the water supply.

Scientists have found that in the artic, there have been more and more deaths of polar bears which, in the last fifty years, have been extremely rare at about 1 death per year. Now it is at 5-9 a year. The icebergs are melting which forces them to swim for their food, and when there is a decrease in icebergs, they have to swim a lot more and the fatigue causes them to drown.

There is an estimate that if enough of the artic melts and the sea levels rise around the world, all coastal cities will be washed away. Lower Manhattan will be gone, and there will be more devastation than the tsunami.

Hurricane Katrina is a good example of global warming in that it was to be a category 1 or 2 and cause minimal damage. However, when it got to the gulf of Mexico, which is another spot that is affected by global warming, it caused the hurricane to grow massively and cause a lot more damage. That is a reason that it was such a tragedy; it wasn't expected to hit with such force.

Global warming is more serious than alot of people think! I am a certified universal refigerant tech and you'll be amazed how serious spilling refrigerant into the atmosphere is. The EPA can fine you up to$ 21,500 for deliberately doing it. CFC types have been banned in the US since 1995. We are required to treat any refigerant much like radiation! Contain it at all costs! We now use a more ozone friendly refrigerant, but it contributes to global warming! We can loose our licence and be fined for spilling it into the atmosphere! Visit the Epa website and see how serious this problem is!.

You should have watched 60 Minutes a few weeks ago and seen see how seriously the ice is melting in Greenland. The polar bear population is decreasing as well. I'm 41 y/o. Summers are definitely hotter now than when I was a kid. As a kid we often need a sweater at night because it would get cool. Not anymore. We are having brutal heat waves and night time temps in the 90's. We need to begin living closer to cities so we can reduce the number of cars on the road.

It is a serious conspiracy. Seriously, Hmmmm Definition of conspiracy: An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act. Perhaps conspiracy is the wrong word. I think they are mostly well meaning people being led down the wrong path. There is much more emotion involed than science.

its been proven that temperatures are rising in the past 100 years....the agrument for anti global warming dumbasses is that because the earth travels in an eliptical path around the sun, they believe we are now at the point where we are closer to the sun which its getting hotter...but global warming or not...no one can argue the fact that we are polluting (raping) the earth and sooner or later...we're gonna get what's comin to us.....whether its tomorrow and perhaps in 500 years....our greatgreatgreatgreat.....grandchildren will suffer the consequences...

Oh it's real...but it's not nearly as important as they want you to think it is. We'll probably run out of fossil fuels or be destroyed by nuclear war before we even experience any problems from global warming.

the earth cycles through warm and cold times. an increase in temperature can be thought of as natural. however, that being said, never before in the history of the planet have the chemicals we put into our environment been in use. we pump so much greenhouse gas into the atmosphere it is naive and delusional to think it's not having any effect on the earth.

Of course it's serious! Ice caps in Antartica are melting that could only mean one thing that our world is warming up. People are just too lazy to do something and when somebody does think of something smart like nuclear energy they reject it.
