I'm not really sure what you could do. Maybe try contacting Yahoo, and seeing if they could give more information? I'm sure there has to be SOMETHING that can be done. Kudos for you for caring that much. Hope things get settled, for she and her children's sake.

awhile back i was being harassed and stalked by someone on the Internet. In order to get the help i needed I found out the secret service and the fbi wrk on online problems. Maybe you could contact one of these local offices. I would first make sure you have proof for concerns. Saved emails or instant messages. There are also services offered on the web that you can do a reverse search for owners of email accounts. This of course cost money. Best of luck to you ALso mentioned later in this U do not ahve to prove abuse to just report CPS will take care of the rest after its reported

Without knowing anything about her (other than her screen name) I don't think you really can do anything about it. This is unfortunate, because I know of a woman on here like that (maybe the same one?) and I think someone really does need to investigate her situation.
It seems that there would be some type of way to track this (especially if she's threatening her kids' lives or threatening to take her own) online. Maybe if you reported one of her questions or answers and left a note in the comments box for the people at Y!Answers, they'd read it and know where to go from there?

All I can say is that it is a very messy situation, especially if you do not know her personally. I have seen this kind of thing before and it never ends up good. I hope that if you do decide to press the issue, that you have enough facts to proove your alligations. If all you have is things that are written on the computer, that may not hold up in a court of law. I really do not know what to tell you. If you really are concerned, go to your local CPS and see if they know how to trace the info to the source, meaning to her computer, there are ways to do that it has been done. Good luck with whatever you decide, and I hope that you are able to figure this out.

Yahoo will not give out that kind of information ... without a warrant. trust me .. i know this. i had a serious stalker for a number of years .. and actually even reported it to the police.
if you don't have her personal information .. unfortunately there is nothing you can do.
it's a frustrating situation ... and your heart is in the right place .. but without knowing the details about her and having evidence of wrongdoing ... there isn't anything ....
maybe try talking to her and letting her know that you want to help .. maybe she will open up to you. maybe she just needs a friend. maybe she's just overwhelmed.

That would be tough to prove, some people are just really good liars and like to stir sh**. It is unfortunate though, because this person really could be putting the kid in danger. You might try reporting her to Yahoo!, or maybe the police, but I do not know what they would do.

I agree with purensimple, try contacting yahoo. They have her name, address, state, etc. If you explain to them the way you did here, they probably will not give you the information, but they may be able to act on your behalf. Nice to see a genuine caring person once in a while....good job!!

You would probably have to be prepared to prove that her children are being neglected or abused, or that she is directly making statement that allude to her planning to harm them. If you don't have this kid of info I think you'll find it unlikely that any type of protective service will step in, especially seeing as how people on the internet are rarely who they claim to be.

Okay first of all, you need more info then that. They do not like to take the time to investigate. They want everything in hand. Their job will be easier.
