oh tough question, besides asking him, i do not know, my guys usually talk to me.

You cannot force him to communicate. He wants to or he doesn't.
If he doesn't, then he is probably not your friend. If you want a friend and a lover, find the other, or move on and try to find both in the same guy.
If you both get along really well, and he doesn't completely ignore you - he just may not be a talker. Most guys aren't. We grunt at each other, high five, and occaisionally say something like "sweet!" when a running back makes a touchdown. We don't want to shop for shoes, talk about what colors will work best in the bathroom, or dissect our relationship with our mothers. If that's your definition of communication, then good luck.
If you just want to talk about your day, discuss a situation at work, or something like that - then you should look for someone who will engage you in thsoe conversations. Guys can handle those topics.

YOU CAN'T. THAT CONNECTION HAS TO BE THERE. I WAS WITH A GUY FOR 8 YEARS, COULDNT GET HIM TO TALK. HE SAYS HE TALKS TO HIS GIRLFRIEND NOW.
MY BOYFREIND OF 2 YEARS DOESN'T OPEN UP TO ANYONE BUT ME! WE HAVE THAT CONNECTION!
