You could go to the dr.'s and do a blood test they are accurate , and usually within 5 days of missing your cycle. You need to wait at least a week before you take a home test. I wish you luck!

I used the Walmart brand with all three of my pregnancies. I waited about a week and a half, just to be sure that I wasn't just late. It is best to take a hpt when you first use the bathroom, first thing in the morning. At least that is what I have always heard. That is when the hormone levels are the highest and it is better at having an accurate test.
Good Luck. I hope everything works out for you and your husband.
And if you aren't pregnant then keep trying. It took me and my husband about seven months of trying before we got pregnant, now our third baby is due at the end of March!

i took the answer test that you can buy at wal-mart and it showed i was pregnant 7 days before my period was due.....

What's the best test to use? This seems to change periodically! Some tests are well-liked and then a "bad batch" comes out, and some tests are known for being duds but then switch manufacturers and redeem themselves. See the HPT Overview section for current comments on each brand.

If you are trying to detect a pregnancy 13 DPO or earlier, you probably want to use a more sensitive brand. Anything that detects 25 mIU/mL of hCG (English: anything that detects a tiny bit of pregnancy hormone) is good for early testing. See the HPT Overview section to see which tests are most sensitive and the HPT Showdown for a real-life comparison of 15 brands.

Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

Good luck

Most tests are accurate. Sometimes the HCG level in your body isn't high enough to be recorded on the test yet. If you still haven't gotten a period in like a week, I would take another test.

i used first response, ept and the digital..i took 6 total and they came up positive every one of them from the cheapest to the most expensive.the reason i took so many was b/c i took it a day before my period so the line was still really faded on all of them except for the digital that just said PREGNANT.lol...i was told they are all the same..they are all looking for the same thing..the "pregnancy hormone" which gets higher as you get farther and farther into your pregnancy

I used the CVS brand. Generic and cheap. I used my card and got 2 for $5. Did you try EPT? They are pretty expensive though.

dollar store, the have the exact same ones they use at
Planned Parenthood, its the same accuracy just not the advertising (thats where ur money goes) 4 days isnt too long, you could go to Planned Parenthood and they can check your uterus to see if its enlarged.. they re either free or reduced if u sign up for their medicaid program, thats what i did and it didnt cost me a dime and they were able to give me a definate answer
good luck!!

I actually read somewhere that the plain CVS brand was one of the best.
