I had a beautiful deck that I threw in the trash once I went through a phase in my life about 6 years ago trying to be a Christian, because they said the cards were "evil". Well, how are these cards evil? I miss these cards now, and wish I had them. I was very good at reading them for others and myself. It was a vintage Rider-Waite deck, and the cards really were like friends. How are they evil? Please explain. Now that I've grown up, I'm considering seeking another deck.

No, the cards are not evil. They are a tool like any other. A tool cannot be good or evil.

And by the way, the Tarot actually has Jewish roots in it's origins. The Tarot was used as meditation gateways to the mysteries of the Kabbalah, the Jewish Tree of Life. So it is not anti-Christian to use them.

They're not evil, I read tarot cards too and I'm not evil. People don't realize that regular playing cards are based on tarot cards. Hearts=Cups.....Diamonds=Pentacles.....Spades=Swords....Clubs=Wands. Some people think that anything that can "predict" the future like tarot cards, ouija boards etc.. is evil. I think they're just good old fashioned fun...kinda spooky sometimes too. You can do a tarot reading with a deck of bicycles purchased at Wal*Mart, you just don't get the major arcana.......

I hope I can help you... I am a Christian and have never owned a deck of tarot cards. Tarot cards are used for playing cards games, however sometimes they are used for divination. Read Daniel Chapter 4 in the King James Version of the bible. Hope this helps. : )

Don't worry, they're not evil. Go crazy! Buy a deck of cards! Treat yourself to something nice.

I don't know that they're as evil as some may say. But what I think is that they are not good to use, because they have no efficacy. So, they can only mislead you about the future. So there is a risk of planning your life around what they say, and they will be wrong. They have no power.

All the Christains say, 'HO!'
Seriously, cards of any kind are not evil.

Also, you shouldn't purchase them, it's bad luck. Have someone else gift them.

Tarot Cards are "evil" (not in my believe....) because they are powered by forces other than god, simply put.

Obviously they are evil because they made you throw them out. Now, they are laughing at you for trashing such a relic.
