Every action and all verbalization is recorded during court sessions. If you had settled with the judge for probation then you should have court records available to reflect that plea bargain agreement. Hopefully you had the good sense to have an attorney present at your hearing. If you didn't it will be harder to acquire the information but still possible. You may have misunderstood the terms of the agreement but if you are correct then you will have to pursue your case before the prosecutor or if you have legal counsel then just turn over your grievance to the attorney. At any rate please be advised that it is to your advantage to complete any and all community service as soon as possible and pay off any and all court fees as soon as possible. Don't drag it out for the duration of your probation because you may be able to apply for probation termination after 1/3 of your probation period providing all your financial obligations are Paid in Full.
And of course Stay Out Of Trouble!

Contact your attorney if you had one, and ask why there is a discrepancy between the court recorded agreement made on the record and the paperwork you were given. If you did not have an attorney, then ask the probation officer why the difference, and if necessary have them contact the judge's clerk to check the record and see if they did in fact say 6 months or not.

The answer you want ot hear is that you should contact the prosecutor and question the papers. Depending on what you did, I might say you deserve it. Rightfully so though, the prosecutor is the one you need to deal with on this.
