I know that men use their cell phones too, but it just seems to me that I see a lot more women talking on the cell than men. They talk when they are walking, driving, shopping, dining, breathing... etc...etc...Am I right or is this just my imagination?

I have noticed this phenomenon in overall use; however, in vehicles, the ratio is much more even. I think that men use cellphones mainly for business, while women seem to use them more socially or for keeping track of children or relatives. I see about an equal number of men and women in cars using them, but women have them pasted to their heads in many other places as well. I guess women are just more visible in their use of them. Personally, I don't own a cellphone and I rather dislike using the regular phone as well. But it is a personal taste and a touch of PTSD here...

I see just as many men talking on the cell phone as I do women. It may be different in your area.

As a matter of fact, I was at the grocery store today and a man answered his cell phone and kept yelling, "who is this?" " I can't hear you." Then he says, "just a minute, I have another call." I thought I would die laughing. He couldn't hear but he was going to answer the other call anyway. When I went outside to my car, he was in the parking lot yelling into his cell phone.

I would not say it is your imagination. It may be a demographic trend. I actually have seen many men using cell phones driving, at parties, in bars in hospitals and dinning. At the health care facility I work at 3 different occasions males have used them in the bathroom while attending to business. My observation, both genders are using them everywhere.

If I was to base your question on my personal life. I would say they do. I don't use my cell phone that often. Once every 3 days for about 10 minutes, but my wife uses it every day at least 3 hours a day. So judging by my personal life, Yes they do.

Women, generally speaking, are generally speaking.

They don't care where they are or who they are bothering by yakking on their cell phones, who they are running off the road while talking on their cell phones,or anything else, as long as they are talking.
