ok so my husband and I have been tryin to have a baby...and my cycles have all been regular...I'm on a 29 day cycle...and day 29 was this past Sunday (9/24/06), so I should have started my period on the 25th...but it's the 28th...and still no period. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests and both came up negative...they were the "First Response" tests. Any ideas? Advice? What is going on here?!

usually by a few days after your missed period the tests should be able to pick up the hormone that it tests for. your levels of it double everyday, but there should be enough built up by now for you to tell. i would wait a few more days and if still no period try again. if it still comes up negative, call you doctor for a blood test.

My cycle is very regular 26 days. This last one, however, was 9 DAYS LATE. I took pregnancy tests, and they were all negative. I assumed they were wrong, of course, because there was no other explanation. The night before I was going to tell my husband, my period started. I was so sad.

So, it may be nothing. Wait until you are a week late, then take the test again. Still negative, go see a doctor and have him do blood work.

Good luck!

sometimes your body is stressing a little and may knock your cycle out of sync but also i think it is still a little to early for the pregnancy test. May want to try in a week and see what happens then. Good luck if you are and dont stress so much if your not. Just keep trying.

Take another test tomorrow or the next day. It's possible your hcg levels just aren't high enough to be picked up by the test. Also, different tests have different standards for level of hcg in your urine. Try a different brand this next time. I hope you're pregnant!!! Good luck!
