Oval face, chestnut color with minimal grey (not a problem), very baby-fine hair with slight wave when left long--it's to mid-back. Usual care is wash and air-dry; throw on a conditioner when I remember and get split ends cut now and then. Overall good shape.

Men apparently LOVE long hair on females of all ages, but I'm getting a little tired of loose-on-the-shoulders (got a fair supply of hair, but because it's so fine, it doesn't look like much), and a ponytail is so strictly functional.

Can anyone suggest an easy-to-do style that looks really elegant or really hot on someone who's NOT bone-thin and young? References to sites with pictures would be great!

(I'm having a midlife crisis of wanting to dress up and get all girly-girl, and this is fussing and fooling is new to me, so please don't laugh too much. I haven't set my hair in rollers for over 20 years, so nothing requiring a lot of skill, please!)

BTW, want to keep the hair as LONG as possible, even if it makes me look a bit older, because I've gotten so many compliments on how lovely and sexy it is when it's long....Makeup can hide the rest!

I am 44, and like to keep my hair longer for my husband, but like you I am a no maintenance kind of girl. I have thick, slightly wavy, dark (and getting darker every year) blond hair with a small amount of grey. I just got a new cut and color this week and I love it.

In the back it is just past my shoulders, with a few layers cut in, the shortest layer is at my lip (i can tuck it behind my ears, if i am gardening). I got highlights and lowlights, it is a really natural and soft color. To create more curl I simply put it up in an octopus-shaped clip when it is wet and it dries more curly. It looks all tousled and kinda sexy. I can still do a ponytail with barrettes to catch the side pieces for serious work.

Hairstyles in both men and women vary with current fashion trends and often used to determine social status. Hairdressing is the art of arranging the hair or otherwise modifying its natural state. Closely related to headgear, hairdressing has been important part of the dress of both men and women since antiquity and, like dress, serves a number of functions. The most important qualities for hair are that it be healthy, shining, and in a flattering, easy to manage style. U will find many things suitable to ur taste and preferences on the following links. I decrease layers into my long hair. It would not rather take something removed from the dimensions, yet supplies me numerous volume and sassiness. It makes it so it would not in simple terms hang. it rather is uncomplicated to shield I in simple terms use a volumizing mousse and dry it the different way up. I instruct, so i'm apprehensive of donning my long hair down around the little toddlers (head lice), so oftentimes I placed on it in a ingredient unfastened bun close to to the neck. I make it seem slightly sloppy, so it style of appears like it in simple terms style of fell that way. in specific circumstances I in simple terms the place it up in a generic ponytail.

braid it
french braid it
messy bun
two braids in the back of your head
cute pigtails
crimp it
make it wavy
fool around with hair chopsticks.
super strait with a headband
braid 2 or 3 bradis in the back of your head and then bradi those braids together. then take the big braid and twist it into a bun. Secure with bobby pins. Really pretty and elegant.

You need to go a bit shorter..accent your face. I think if you cut it just below your cheek bone it would make you look younger..bringing out you facial features.
