The poorer the nation, the less interest they have in the world, and the more likely they are to use them.
It creates trouble basically.
That's all you need for now.

If Iran has a nuke they are more likely to use it than most other countries. Bin Laden said that the western world respects life but the muslims respect death. That seems a little too nuts to me to allow them to have a nuke.
The UN, please. UN sanctions aren't worth the 754 pages they are printed on. The US, GB, and Australia are really the only countries who would abide by a UN sanction. Not to mention the fact that Iran made threats if the UN tried to impose sanctions concerning their "peaceful development" of a nuclear plant for power.

Well, Iran is not asking to build nuclear power...they are asking to build energy.
Iran has followed the all of the International Atomic Energy Agency rules and regulations and is in fact, a supporting and abiding member of the Nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
What I don't understand is this originally started under the Shah of Iran in the 1950s, with the help of the United States! After the 1979 revolution, the program was temporarily disbanded. It was soon resumed, albeit with less Western assistance than the pre-revolution era. The Iranian government asserts that the program's only goal is to develop the capacity for peaceful nuclear power generation, and plans to generate electricity with nuclear power plants by 2010. Should we also go ahead and knock down China, India, Germany, and other smart nations that are looking for smart energy choices?
It is kind of like the whole WMD thing you know? We cannot continue to dictate other nations based solely on our paranoid insecurities with the middle east.

The US and other nuke powers have not promised the destruction and removal of a country from this planet. Iran has openly professed wanting to destroy Isreal and the US. See the difference.

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

Bottom line: Money talks. The US has enough to blow anyone off the face of the world and doesn't. World politics are not about fairness, respect or human dignity.

Who's the world's BULLY? And why doesn't anyone try to STOP the ************* bully?
Because everyone knows better than to MESS WITH A BULLY.
( the funny thing here is, millions of ants are screwing the Bully's locker, and he seems incapable of doing anything to prevent them from coming in)

Israel has nuclear weapons because we want them to. The reason we don't want Iran to have them is because Saudi Arabia is telling us that we don't. Didn't you see Fahrenheit 9/11?
