To my knowledge, an IEP is only usable when the student is physically attending a school. An online program is not in the postition to provide the addtional services or allowances outlined in the IEP. Generally, when a child is no longer enrolled in a public school, he or she is no longer eligable for any support for the issues in the IEP. This is true if the child is homeschooled or chooses a private school. Since an online school would not be legally mandated to follow an IEP, I would assume you could enroll. I would contact any program you are considering directly and ask what about the policies. Good luck.

Are you a student who's been diagnosed with a learning disability since the last time I heard IEP was when I was in high school since I am a student with a learning disability. Most homeschooled students with special needs are going require professional help because of the laws and regulations behind educating them.

Yes, you can check out Missouri Online. But, most online schools you have to take an entrance exam and they will help you with your curriculum. For example: If you are in the 10Th grade and you have only an 8th grade reading level they will give you 8th grade work. You will still be listed in the 10th grade and will continue to move on to the 11th (depending on your grades) and eventually graduate but your curriculum will continue on from 8Th to 9Th etc. Online has many opportunities..you can have your curriculum sent to you and only do chapter tests, you can do everything online. Depends on what you prefer. If you want to homeschool or self teach then I would check out your local school and state standards for charter schools. I know of several in Ohio and Pennsylvania and everything is free. So ask someone at your local school if they know of any type of state assistance. If anything it might give you some type of discount or grant.
