What is God's intention? That's how you know the difference.

Schizophrenics are often exposed by anti-social behavior. God is not anti-social.

A useful God would inspire us to be creative, helpful, peaceful people that everyone sane would have to love, because that God would fill us with enough love for the whole world.

A useless God would fill us with ambitious ideas to change and fix things and would tell us it is okay to hurt or scare somebody if they stood in our way.

I will only believe in a useful God. The other voices I can sleep through.

it rather is the non believers that think of we are wacko whilst God 'speaks' to us. they actually think of that God speaks to us in a genuine voice. God speaks to our hearts. in simple terms speaking to God is praying. I try this on a daily basis, I do exactly not voice it continually. There are some people who have an exceptionally severe psychological subject the place they even have self assurance that God instructed them to kill somebody. God would not let us know to kill absolutely everyone. those form of the form of people who're schizos and prefer severe help.

Because, I believe that the primary method of God "talking" to us is through His Word, the Bible. I don't think He taps us on the shoulder anymore since the Holy Spirit is around and can guide us to what we need to know in the Bible. Prayer and reading the Bible go hand in hand as a conversation.

It is through his inspired Word the Holy Bible that Almighty God communicates his thoughts to man. This Word contains His perfect standard of truth and righteousness, and so it is through its pages that one becomes acquainted with the perfect mind of God, which is sound. Consequently, to whatever extent a person is able to set aside his own mind, or judgments, and accept the direction of the mind of God on matters, to that extent he will have the spirit or disposition of a sound mind.

I think certain other criteria must be met before a person who believes they speak with God is considered schizophrenic. To put it mildly....

But you raise a point.

that depends on what voices you are hearing. you know that still audible voice that gets confimation 3 times would be from God, but if you saying that God told you to do something that is totally not in his will then i would question that voice.

Who said that? That's a lie and the person who said it know it. They just don't want us to have communication with anyone more powerful then themselves.

People spread hate towards something that they don't understand and they have never experienced it nor had a relationship.
