then shouldnt they also refuse to have heterosexual priests? i mean, priests arent allowed to have sexual feelings for anyone. wouldnt it make sense to only have asexual priests? [please dont answer if you are only going to preach about homosexuality being a ''sin'']

by the way ... asexuality is when someone [male or female] has no sexual orientation. they have no sexual feelings for anybody. some asexuals do fall in love, but have no desire to sleep with this person. others do not fall in love at all. Yes there are people like this, two of my close friends are.

Priests often share living quarters with several other priests.
A homosexual priest would find this to be a near occasion of sin, and perhaps, a constant temptation.
This is not a problem for heterosexual men sharing living quarters with other heterosexual men.
Outside of marriage, we're all required to be celibate, which is the normal default condition for all mankind.
Your comment about priests not being allowed to have sexual feelings for anyone isn't correct. Feelings are normal.
Sexual activity is what's not allowed ... for anyone ... outside of marriage.
As for asexuals ... I don't know of any.

There is a tendency to look at the priesthood through eyes of this modern world that tells us we MUST have sex all the time. The priesthood is Gods and he can supply the grace needed for them and he can come up with his own rules. Why all the interest in the priesthood? There are very few problems with the clergy of the Catholic Church compared with all the other denominations. When the problems were at it's highest they were just a little less than 2% of the priests. Jesus had Judas and nothing has changed.

Homosexuality is a sin. But the catholics believe that if someone becomes a priest they will have less years in purgatory (a place between heaven and hell, which ONLY catholics believe exists) so part of being a priest is not having sex or intamate relationships with each other. You might want to look up the meaning of asexual

First, there is not such a thing as sin. Priests as human beingS cannot help but have sexual feelingS. They are not to act upon them though. What do you mean by "asexual". Have you looked up the word. Have you ever met anyone that is devoid of sexuality?

You've raised a good point. If the homosexual would just keep his mouth shut, no one would know what he was. Actually, all priests should be asexual.

Makes sense to me.
It used to be that the priesthood was a vocation for men who weren't "marriageable"--I think that's one reason why they're against gay rights.

Your question is stupid.
What's going on? Bored on a Thursday nite? Not asked out again, eh?
Oh well.
