many times in the old testament it was as if jesus was talking.
but it was GOD.
in the new testament jesus called himself son of man, servant and the son.
1st timothy 3:16 says that GOd came in the flesh>hense jesus.
in n.t jesus also said many times things as if yes he was/is God!!
i and my father are one.
to have seen the father is to see me.
so i suppose that yes, GOD & jesus are same being.
but yet 3.
i guess we cannot fully comprehend the mystery.
is there any one out there who can explain how they are the same yet seperate?
when jesus prayed in the garden etc he prayed to the father, but yet he is the father!
were his prayers just to set/show examples?
and when he was tempted by satan as he was fasting for 40 days
didnt satan know that jesus was GOD?
if anyone can answer me and really break this down, plezzz do.
only true believers plezz. no atheists. i dont need that.
thanks!!
grasshopper!

???????????????
why did satan temp god?
i dont know what to really believe!
there is so much evidence to support both theorys! GOd = jesus or God is seperate..only the father. jesus is seperate ..the son. two different.
or did who ever write the bible get it wrong!!! my mind is spinning!!

God the Father and Jesus the Son are one in purpose, but are two separate individuals. When Jesus says that to have seen the father is to see me, He is emphasizing that in all things He does the will of the Father.

Simple explanation with out all of the references.
The Father, Son and Spirit are all God. They are the characteristics of God. The Father created, the Son saved and the Spirit guides and inspires. There is a truckload of evidence to this and would take quite a while and a lot of room to hash it all out but you can find the best results by getting a copy of the Recovery Version of the New Testament at www.biblesforamerica.org it is free. The commentary is by Witness Lee and is exceptional. It will explain the connection of the three characters of God.

Jesus is the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity, the eternal one, co-equal with the Father and with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus became man to save us from our sins. Doing so, he lived as a man, and was a true man in every way, except for sin.

He never ceased to be God.

Jesus emptied himself, relying only upon the grace and power that God makes available to every man ... not upon his divine power.

His miracles, like the miracles of old, as well as all the miracles performed since, were accomplished by the power of the Holy Spirit, not by the power of his human flesh.

Jesus prayed in order to direct the power of the Holy Spirit in his life's mission, to strengthen his human will and his human body, and to physically endure whatever was necessary for the salvation of souls.

Jesus' life was no easier and perhaps much more difficult than any man's. His entire human existence was one, 33 year-long sacrifice.

A single sin would have ruined everything.

A slight error in judgment or in timing would have made God's entire plan fail.

He also needed to atone for Adam's shortcomings.

Adam sinned ... but Jesus triumphed over Satan, sin, and death.

Satan didn't know what to make of him, so he arranged to have Jesus put to death.

Doing so, Satan brought about his own destruction.

Adam died against his will, and his body turned into corruption ... but Jesus willingly gave up his life for his friends, and three days later, took it up once more, never to die again. Then, he took that same body back to heaven with him.

Adam disgraced mankind and earned only eternal damnation. Jesus redeemed mankind and greatly pleased his heavenly Father, obtaining grace and forgiveness for all men.

Adam's sin eternally enslaved mankind to Satan. Jesus destroyed Satan's power, and gave mankind his freedom.

Adam gave dominion over the earth to Satan. Jesus founded the Church ... the earthly Kingdom of God.

All these things are true, yet the mystery of the Holy Trinity still exists, as no one can truly appreciate or fully understand how three distinct and divine persons constitute the one, true God.

But God says it is so.

That's where faith comes in.

Our lord and savior Jesus Christ tells us in john 10-30 that the father and I am one, because if you have seen the father you have seen the son,so just look at it this way also 1 times 1 times 1times 1= 3 father, son, and holy spirit.

I think of it like this - Father, Son, Holy Spirit - all part of the Godhead, the Trinity, but with different purposes. All of the Spirit.

Father - Creator
Son - Savior, God incarnate
Holy Spirit - Comforter, God in us

Like - water, steam, ice - all water but different too. I hope this helps. Not sure if I can explain it better.

it quite is amazingly effortless, even as on earth he develop into guy and develop into led through the spirit, the spirit (of God, Holy Spirit) might want to have instructed Him, even with the indisputable fact that the guy Jesus did not understand on the on the spot. Now he's in Heaven on the right hand of God the daddy and that i'm particular He knows now. He has been glorified with the daddy through the shedding of His blood and now He has regained what he lost on the go. John 17:4-6 I truly have glorified You on earth. I truly have complete the paintings that you've given Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me which includes your self, with the honour which I had with You earlier the international develop into.

Its like this. God and Jesus are two different beings. God, as every one knows is the heavenly father. Jesus is God's son, which of course, would make Jesus a God too. Maybe not as powerful, but a God nonetheless. God is a heavenly being so he had to send a physical being to earth to fulfill his duties.

Now when Jesus states that he and his father are one, and to see him is to have seen his father, think about it like this: I have children myself and my kids come from me and their father, so to see my kids would be to see me and/or their father, because they come from our flesh and bones. Children are their parents but in a younger form.

The Holy Trinity is called the Holy Trinity not the Holy Trinities, because it's one, made up of three; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Just like your family. You're all one family but a bunch of you's make up that one family.
