What do you say now that the Pentagon has spoken on Islam?

After investigating Islam and the background of suicide bombers, the Pentagon has finnally conceded the inconcievable: Islam, not politics, motivates suicide bombers. The new report concludes that suicide bombers are in fact well-learned in the Koran, and do pervert Islam's message. Will it change anything now that the military has learned Islam is NOT a religion of peace?

That's propaganda to justify war and to spread fear. Don't buy it. It's all about oil. They also said there were weapons of mass destruction, so don't trust everything they say.

I fear that it is politics that drives the interpretation of the Koran (as it probably always has and for that matter the Bible too). We just have to get used to the fact that Islamic extremists fight that way. I think it is indubitably true that the vast majority of the world's Muslims (1.6 billion of them, somebody correct me if I am wrong) don't wish to get involved in that kind of interpretation of the Koran in their personal lives. My feeling is that we have to promote the politics of the situation such that parts of the Koran which promote more positive and peaceful sentiments prevail. People who don't want to fight won't fight if the politics are right - it is likely to be a long time before we reach this point though and I don't think it is helpful to be hostile to all Muslims.

You see, the Pentagram...I mean Pentagon is not telling the world anything new. Who *didn't* realize that it was the religion of Islam that motivated the bombers? The bombers were brainwashed by their mullahs into thinking that they're going to get 70-something virgins in Paradise if they die that way.

Pentagon, bush or any one else who does not understand the faith or practice it, is not the measure to judge any religion its amazing how ppl have become so quck to judge and follow such judgements ...violence and terrorism is the same in all forms weather the muslims do it or christians or jews or hindus or any other faith ..causes are what ppl leave aside and blame...i consider the warr on terror another form of terrorism as much as the incident 9/11.. i think ppl need to wake up and see whats going on hatred will not be the savior here or bombs ....and i think its very clear by example with the war in Iraq and afganistan ....more troops have been killed there then in 9/11 and still it keeps going, learn to think for ur self its the best thing to do no media government or cleric will give u ay truth about any thing for them thers too much on stake and intersts (this will be my last post on the matter)

People need to wake up to the fact that world war 3 has already started. Our enemies will have no problem whatsoever using weapons of mass destruction on Americans in America. Iran is close to being a nuclear power, and they have hated us for 30 years or more. The rest of the muslim world hates us because we support Israel. Our former allies hate us because we are the only remaining superpower. I'll say the obvious, we are in a mess. God help us.

The military and the President and his team of advisors and so on and so on......have all known for quite awhile that Radical Islam is responsible for this treachery. But the question has been, not what we know, but what can we say. I've been calling this one for a year now. If you paid close attention to various speeches, press releases, conferences etc., you could read it between the lines, little by little, more and more they began to admit what they are close to saying now. We are in a Religious War. And all the walking or running away will do no good. All the appeasement in the world will do no good !! This One is for ALL the MARBLES, ALL OUR LIVES, AND RUNNING doesn't mean ESCAPING FOLKS, running means you lose 100% sure and YOU LOSE WITH A BULLET IN YOUR BACK !!!! I certainly do not want it ! it is this military that is full of people who kill innocent old, women and children much more than the extremist Muslims do, look at the stats 3000 were killed in 911, more than that were killed in Afghanistan and many more in Iraq, leave those that US military have killed, more US soldiers have died so far, that were killed in NY. Just because the military say something, it is not necessarily true. In fact, the military in particular, is well known for distorting the truth to justify a desired action or result.
