He loves us so much and want to forgive our sins yet he doesn't do the most simple thing and appear then let us work our way towards him instead of making it hard for us and suffer...

Did you just say that God doesn't show himself? I think you've forgotten to look around you. Look at all the healed diseases. Look at His wonderful creation. Look at how he stands at the door of your heart and knocks over and over again. God just wants you to let him in, and in doing so you will see God's glory reaveal itself. I think that that is pure, solid proof of his existence. And, btw... It's not hard, just answer his calling. Open the door and accept his love. Love Him back.

Do you exist? Can you comprehend things written? Can you hear or see?
All these are LIVING PROOFS that HE IS REAL.

God DID appear to us many, many times.
He appeared to Abraham, Moses, Isaiah, Elijah, etc.
But most importantly, Jesus was God incarnate. God in human form.
