Yeah u can and if u have the proper cracks, u can get away but there is the new Microsoft Genuine Advantage update that microsoft released to counteract illegal versions of microsoft products resulting in disabling updates and a annoying logo that this copy of X has been subject to counterfeiting etc so be careful with that. It rather depends on the software. If the software is simply copied and if it requires a code to activate it, then you may not be able to install it at all. If the software is cracked - i.e. there have been modifications to the executable to prevent it from looking for activation codes and the like, then you will certainly be able to install it.
You should know, though, that there is a fairly high incidence of Trojan horses, viruses and the like in cracked software. If you install it, you're basically saying that you're trusting your computer to the people who wrote the crack. This is not always a good idea.
