My Hands
Hands can express so many things,
Sorrow, happiness and fear.
Hands can push someone away
or hold them very near.
Hands can create something beautiful
or reach out and destroy.
You can discipline a naughty child
or reach out and mend their broken toy.
But there’s another use for hands
that we all can truly do.
That’s when you reach out, to a friend
and say is there anyway, I can help you.
Hands can change a friends dream
by holding their hand in the park.
And hands can save a friends life,
or help the blind, see in the dark.
Hands can make a difference,
on the work that you do.
But the greatest sign language, for my hands
are when I use them, to say I love you.

Brush the tears off a loved one's cheek,
Hug someone who's just had a break up,
Dial my boyfriend's number,
Hold a dear one near when in pain, and
last but not least to pray to the Lord.
