Hard Boiled Egg Instructions

Boiling an egg doesn’t need to be difficult. Just follow these four easy steps:

1.) Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. The water level should be about an inch above the eggs.

2.) Bring water to a boil; immediately turn off heat. (Don’t let the eggs continue to boil. Sulfur compounds in the yolk turn an ugly shade of green when eggs are exposed to high heat.)

3.) Cover the pan; let eggs stand in the hot water for 14 minutes (small eggs) to 17 minutes (extra large eggs).

4.) Drain eggs and cool in bowl of ice water. Refrigerate hard-boiled eggs for up to one week.

How to Hard Boil an Egg;

Most people don't know how to do it and you can tell the difference by the color between the egg white and the yoke. If it is green, then you are doing it wrong. The taste difference is remarkable. I found out that I did not know how to properly cook an egg many years ago by a friend. I was told how and tried it and was amazed at the difference. To properly cook a hard boiled egg; put the egg in cold water with about an inch of water above the egg. Bring this to a hard boil and keep it boiling for 1 minute, then turn off the burner and let sit for around 18-20 minutes, depending on the size of the egg. The egg will come out of the shell easier, there will be no green between the white and the yoke and it will taste much better too.

Heat water for 5 minutes on high and then add the egg and boil for exactly 8 minutes. Make sure the egg is completely submerged into the water

Papi that takes about 10-15 minutes,depending on the quality of your stove's heating.I recommend that you boil the water first for about 5 minutes than place the egg for about 10-15 minutes.

put the eggs in the pot and fill the pot with water, so it covers the eggs. Then, after the pot starts boiling, let it boil for 10 more minutes. Hope this helps.
