As far as I know, there are no organized missions in the middle east. There are small groups of saints in many of these countries and sometimes converts join the church. However, due to the governments of these countries and the threat to the life of converts, there is no official missionary program.
The link below has a list of current missions.

The Mormon missionaries go anywhere they are allowed to go by the law of those nations. They never sneak in through the back door. Many nations in the Middle East don't allow them in, so they are not in those countries. Other than that, the missionaries are everywhere they are permitted and everywhere that is deemed sufficiently safe by their church leaders.

Hmmm. Mormon missionaries in the Middle East. Great idea. I can see it now. Pairs of bearded Mormons (who used to be Muslims) peacefully riding bicycles, wearing holy underwear, suits, ties and wingtips. I guess the genealogy would be easy to do for them. That would be awesome the ordinance of Melchizadek in a temple where Melchizadek was. Moroni would be proud.

As far as I know Missionaries aren't even allow to go to China yet. Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines most definitely. in fact they have temples. However there is a temple in Hong-Kong, but the was built before China took it's turn having Hong-Kong. But this Temple is still active.

don't understand what polygamy has to do with your 'question' because mormons are not polygamists and have not been for over 100 and fifty years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yet that being suggested - missionaries are not despatched into any united states the position the authorities does no longer enable them in - effortless as that. they're in various risky places "through ways".!

In the Mormon faith, anyone can be a god. They believe Jesus was just a very good man and therefore became a god and they can do the same. This is a fact they do not like to be known public but it was declared by one of their latter day saints and so must be true in their religion. Whether they are in the middle East I don't know, but I would assume they do.
