I always hear about hispanic Americans who are legal citizens and don't like the illegals. It makes sense. If you or your parents/grandparents waited in line and did everything properly, you would be mad if others just cut to the front of the line and didn't have to pay any of the dues that you did.

I'm sure many legal immigrants and 2nd generation mexican-americans have an issue with illegals. Why? Well, with all the backlash and ill-will, those who are legal, or have been born here and of latino background suffer from the stereotypes-- e.g. they're all illegal etc.
Dude, you really should open your mind-- learning another language is a GOOD thing. Besides, there are going to be ALOT more hispanics in this country over the next 20+ years. It will be both from new-borns to new immigrants. Read the USA Today article on USA population reaching 300 million.
Wake up people, hispanics are here and they ain't going away.

Things must not be going to well down there when they are crossing the border illegally leaving their families to get into the US.they seem to be in need for reforms in their countries. Then there would be no need to come here illegally

It's true. They are just added competition for jobs for them too. They have an incentive to want them out of here just as we Americans do. Heck even more of an incentive than we do.
I really do wish I knew Spanish though. Not cause I live here and feel I need it (yet!) but just for added knowledge.

I just came to realize this from talking to some Hispanics.I even talked to legal immigrants from Mexico and they don't want illegals here either. I assumed it was other way around.....good to see Hispanic Americans that want to be American and not just in America.

Your people are part of the problem. I nearly hit a wet with my bike when a "Hispanic" trucker let a dozen of them off in the country. Too many are loyal to la raza rather than to the US.

I'm Mexicana, I'm not against illegals and I'm fluent in Spanish cuz it's apart of my life, alot of my elders (that are americans by the way) don't speak or really understand english. Also I get paid alot more money knowing more than 1 language. But you do know that just cuz you call yourself Mexican American I bet your immediate family members have some Mexico familia ties :) we all do. cuz Mexican Americans are more recent
